The March 19th Primary Election is just a few days away. Early voting is ongoing, but will come to an end on Monday, March 18th. As in every election cycle, this election is critical for Illinois, and it is crucial that you select those who you would trust to make the laws, many of which will directly affect your family.
We cannot emphasize strongly enough how important it is for Christians to be good stewards of God’s amazing gift of self-government and exercise our civic duty to vote in each and every election, including the primary where voter turnout is always very low.
Exodus 18:21 gives us a great guideline of what to look for in a candidate.
Furthermore, you shall select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain;
Even if there are only a few who would fit the Exodus mandate, there are other races on your ballot plus often a referendum question that might be very important to you.
We are blessed in this nation to be able to choose our government leaders. We must do all that we can to ensure that men and women are elected who understand that our nation is great because of the Christian foundation that was laid by the Founders and that we must uphold those same principles if we are to remain a great nation.
Listed below are 17 different two-page local Voter Guides — one for each Congressional District. By printing the two-page local Guide front to back on legal size paper (8.5″ x 14″), you can easily make this a one-page handout. These are non-partisan and completely legal under IRS guidelines for distribution in churches.
IMPORTANT: Please take a moment to look up your U.S. Congressional, State Senate and State Representative districts HERE prior to using the IFI Voter Guide. Make a note of your district numbers. These 3 numbers are the only ones you will need. The other races are county, judicial and/or local races and, unfortunately, are not included in our voter guide.
