LGBT Political Flag Flying Over the Illinois Capitol

As a longtime resident and citizen of Springfield I am expressing my disappointment of the placement of the first-ever LGBTQI Pride flag over the state Capitol building.

The Pride flag does not represent all of the people and should not have been placed along with the Illinois and U.S. flags. The Capitol is the peoples’ property, not the governor’s and his allies. Governor Pritzker said: “Every Illinoisan should be proud of who they are, who they love or how they identify.” His statement leaves the Pandora’s box open as some will not consider it full marriage equality until you include polyamory, polygamy, or other proclivities to marry whomever you want because if it’s based on “who you love,” then all boundaries come down.

The LGBTQI movement is fostering sexual anarchy and moral corruption in America. This generation is being indoctrinated and taught that gay behavior is equivalent to gender and race. Homosexuality and “transgenderism” violate God’s intentional design for human sexuality.

Many citizens believe that this is a cultural battle that we must continue to engage in. Those of us who disagree with the gay ideology do not engage in this cultural battle because we are haters. We extend compassion and love to all individuals but without compromise. The only flags which should be flown over government office buildings are the state of Illinois flag and the U.S. flag, not the gay pride flag. This is not only a state issue but is a spiritual and moral issue.
