File a Witness Slip! Protect Pregnancy Care Centers!
By Kathy Valente   |   04.22.23
Planned Parenthood and those in the legislature that do their bidding aren't satisfied with abortions up to birth, paying for them with your tax dollars, inviting women from other states, and protecting child molesters by permitting young girls to obtain abortions without their parent's knowledge. They have now placed pregnancy care centers directly in their cross hairs.
Population Collapse and the Birthgap Problem
By Kenna Rose   |   04.21.23
For generations now alarm bells have been violently ringing about overpopulation. For decades people have been predicting a population boom that would result in famine, chaos, and war, with too many people vying for too few resources. But as generation after generation has marched on with no sign of any of this, people started to wonder. What if the bells were alarming us of the wrong thing? What if the problem isn’t too many people… but too few?
It’s In The Mail
We’re likely all familiar with the phrase, "there’s only two things you can’t avoid in life: construction in Illinois and car warranty calls." No…wait. I think the answer is supposed to be death and taxes. Of course, in Illinois we love our taxes. We must. That’s why they keep finding new ones for us!
Vulnerable Moms and Babies Denied a Hearing
By Mae Arthur   |   04.04.23
In the aftermath of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, little if anything has changed concerning abortion in Illinois. You would think radical pro-abortion activists and legislators would be satisfied to know the status quo remains, but sadly, you would be wrong. Even though Illinois' abortion law is one of the most liberal in the nation, pro-abortion forces are not content with unfettered access to abortion, and they are now coming after crucial pregnancy resource centers (PRCs).

By Alex Newman   |   04.01.23
With more and more states in the region and beyond moving to protect the lives of unborn babies or at least restrict the mass killing, abortionists in Illinois are busier than ever, according to the abortion industry in the state and news reports about the gruesome phenomenon.

Last month we alerted you to tyrannical bills designed to shut down the operations of “limited services pregnancy centers.” State Senator Celina Villanueva (D-Chicago) is looking to advance her bill SB 1909, which is titled the “Deceptive Practices of Limited...

U.S. Representative Mary Miller’s Congressional Family Caucus
By Ecce Verum   |   03.24.23
Earlier this month, Representative Mary Miller (R-IL) announced the launch of the Congressional Family Caucus from the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. In a brief but spirited speech, she explained that the caucus' purpose is to defend the natural family from Left-grounded erosion.
We Must Share God’s Law and Gospel
By Calvin Lindstrom   |   03.21.23
The great theologian and reformer, John Calvin, studied law before his conversion and service to the Lord as a pastor and teacher. He later wrote and taught on the use and purpose of God’s law: 1] It shows the way of perfect righteousness and also reveals to us how great is our sin. 2] It helps to restrain evil and maintain order in society. 3] It continues to guide believers in terms of our duty.
A Response To Pritzker’s “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day”
By David Lovi   |   03.13.23
On March 10th, Governor J. B. Pritzker decreed that he was proclaiming that day, “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day.” In his Tweet cheerleading his fanatical abortion agenda, he thanked abortion clinic staff and volunteers who provide the "critical and lifesaving work" of destroying innocent pre-born human life.
Politics – A Worldview Apart
For Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, “Turn out the lights, the party’s over.” That’s particularly embarrassing for her because a sitting mayor is supposed to be reelected. She failed to impress voters, yet announced that Chicago moved forward during her term. Voters disagreed. Opponents pointed out the rise in crime and a consistently divisive leadership style. So who is next up?
The Left’s Minefield for America’s Youth
By Rev. Thorin Anderson   |   03.04.23
With the vast number of books, movies, and songs written commiserating the consequences of bad choices (which would include most every Country and Western song written), one would think that young Americans would not need to be told to think carefully about their choices in life.  A popular British band sang, “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” not that long ago, but America’s youth apparently never got the memo!
Defund Planned Parenthood
By Kenna Rose   |   03.03.23
U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) recently introduced H.R. 128, also known as the Defund Planned Parenthood Act of 2023, to the U.S. House of Representatives. This proposal would restrict the federal funds Planned Parenthood receives for abortion (except in cases of rape or incest or danger to the woman’s life) for one year to redirect $235 million toward community health centers. Currently, 40 representatives have cosponsored the bill.
Expanding Abortion by All Possible Means
By Mae Arthur   |   02.28.23
By definition, obstetric and other perinatal care providers always have two patients: a mother and her unborn baby. Both parties are considered equal in value and worthy of the full attention and effort of the provider, and in no case are they viewed as set against one another... But as the pro-abortion lobby in Illinois has grown bolder and more desperate, especially considering last year’s overturning of Roe v. Wade, there is now an expectation that a growing number of perinatal healthcare providers should be permitted to destroy the very lives they have been trained to guard.

By   |   02.27.23
On February 9, the Illinois General Assembly introduced two bills—one in the House, one in the Senate—both entitled the “Deceptive Practices of Limited Services Pregnancy Centers Act.” The contents of HB 2463, introduced by State Representative Terra Costa Howard (D-Lombard) and  SB 1909, introduced by State Senator Celina Villanueva (D-Chicago) are identical, and both bills seek to radically curtail the operations of “limited services pregnancy centers.”
