
A deeply troubling bill is pending in the Illinois House after passing unopposed in the Illinois Senate. Our state lawmakers are seeking to implement universal mental health screening annually in public schools in grades 3 through 12. Although the Board of Education would bring in “professionals” to implement the screenings, we have many good reasons to be suspicious that the “professional” values of the government would not align with Christian family values.
