It is no secret that our culture’s view of marriage, family, and sexuality are skewed. For young people, this confusion is particularly evident with casual nature in which sexuality is addressed in sex education classes given in the government school system.
In this episode, Jenna and Alyssa sit down with Scott Phelps to address the issues of marriage and sexuality head on.
Scott Phelps is the executive director of The National Marriage Campaign, formerly known as Abstinence and Marriage Partnership. The National Marriage Campaign was founded in 2004, and their mission is to let every teenager in the country hear a clearly reasoned, positive presentation on the blessings of abstinence until marriage and instruction on preparing for a healthy, future marriage.
“Marriage is the cornerstone of culture, and where you have a breakdown of marriage and family is where you’re going to find a whole host of social pathologies whether it’s poverty, whether it’s crime, whether it’s drug abuse…
There are reasons why God designed marriage to be the cornerstone of culture and the cradle in which babies are to be raised and cared for.”
This is a fantastic conversation that you don’t want to miss.
