Near the end of May, we discussed Boy Scouts and their name change to “Scouting America.”

In the article, we excitedly highlighted Trail Life USA as the Christian, conservative alternative to Boy Scouts.

Unfortunately, within scouting, the influence of the left is not limited to the Boy Scouts. Girl Scouts, too, has been infected with a liberal agenda.

Most concerning to parents who wish to guard the safety and privacy of their daughters, Girl Scouts’ current position on transgenderism is as follows:

Girl Scouts is proud to be the premiere leadership organization for girls in the country. Placement of transgender youth is handled on a case-by-case basis, with the welfare and best interests of the child and the members of the troop/group in question a top priority. That said, if the child is recognized by the family and school/community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, then Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe.

Girl Scouts’ acquiescence to the transgender movement is enough for conservative parents to pull their daughters out of their troops.

Girl Scouts was originally created for and intended to be a safe place for girls to hone their imaginations and sense of adventure.

The allowance of biological boys into the Girl Scouts is unacceptable in every sense.

It is also worth noting that troop leaders enjoy a good deal of access to their scouts, with an emphasis on character development. By sending your daughter to Girl Scouts, her worldview could likely be impacted by someone whose beliefs do not align with Scripture.

The good news is that there exists a Christian, conservative alternative to Girl Scouts: American Heritage Girls, whose mission statement clearly says,

American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered character and leadership development program for girls 5 to 18 years of age. AHG is dedicated to the mission of building women of integrity through service to God, family, community, and country.

AHG’s troop levels are tailored to your daughters’ interests, needs, and stage of development. When you sign your daughter up to join an AHG Troop, you can have confidence that your daughter is learning invaluable principles of faith, family, and freedom.

In addition to this, you can rest assured that your daughter’s troop leader has a biblical worldview that is helping to shape your daughter’s mindset and actions.

The lessons taught by AHG are rooted in the truth of Scripture.

It is time to send a message to Girl Scouts that the goodness of God’s design for the sexes is something that you, as a parent, will not compromise on.

Your daughter deserves to foster her curiosity and sense of adventure in a safe, Christ-honoring environment, where her uniqueness as a female is celebrated.
