Frederick Douglass once said,

“Once you learn to read, you will be forever free.”

Reading is vitally important to a child’s imagination and education.

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) notes,

At all three gradesstudents who more frequently read for fun on their own time had higher average proficiencies.

In addition to this, the NCES aptly observes,

Children who are read to at least three times a week by a family member are almost twice as likely to score in the top 25% in reading compared to children who are read to less than 3 times a week.

With low literacy rates in public schools throughout Illinois and the United States in general, the stimulation of children’s minds through reading is more important than ever.

Yet, books like Gender Queer, Girl is Ruthie’s Gender Identity, Non-Binary Is a Helpful Word, and I’m Not A Girl are the types of stories being pushed on America’s children.

Stories filled with lies, deception, and explicit material.

What are parents to give their children as an alternative to the literature found in schools, public libraries, and bookstores?

Brave Books offers parents a Christian alternative.

Brave Books is a Christian Publishing Company that was founded by Trent Talbot to “celebrate families and honor traditional values.”

However, Brave Books is more than just a publishing company. Brave Books offers an array of services including a monthly book club, exciting books with games and discussion questions, and a TV show featuring Kirk Cameron.

When you subscribe to Brave Books’ Freedom Island Book Club, you will receive a new book each month filled with exciting adventures, games, and activities to go along with the story.

More importantly, your child will learn foundational truths from God’s Word.

Books focus on these and other truths: every life has value, boys are boys and girls are girls, the importance of telling the truth, why freedom should be protected, why the Constitution is important, and much more!

So how much does it cost?

Thankfully, Brave Books is very affordable for families!

A popular children’s book, The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, retails for $19.95 at your local Barnes and Nobles.

A monthly subscription with Brave Books, which gives you all the features described above, is only $16.99 per month with an annual subscription.

However, if you would prefer to not subscribe, you can simply shop the book section, where prices range from $9.99 to $22.99 per book.

Whichever way you choose to shop, you can have confidence that you are giving your money to a company that cares deeply about your children’s education, moral compass, and safety.

Shop Brave Books today and receive a 30% discount on each book when you subscribe!
