Common Core: School Test Scores Are Nosediving
12.13.17
In 2013 Michael Cohen of Achieve, Inc. (an organization integral to developing and marketing the Common Core national standards) testified in New York that Common Core is a long-term education experiment on our children: “The full effects… won’t be seen until an entire cohort of students, from kindergarten through high school graduation, has been effectively exposed to Common Core teaching.” Four years later we may not be seeing the full effects, but heaven help us when we get there.
Patriarchy, Gender Roles and Marxism: An Educational Campaign to Destroy the Family
By Oliver Perry   |   12.12.17
Feminist writers claim American society is fundamentally flawed because of “patriarchy.” Whether by accident or design, this claim coincides with the Marxist goal to destroy the concept of family. This destruction is needed to implement the theft and redistribution of...

Mississippi has become the latest test case for determining parental rights of same-sex couples where one of the adults has no biological relation to the child. Nationwide, disputes are raging about what the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to impose its redefinition of marriage on all 50 states now means for designations of parenthood, which prior to its opinion, rested on a paradigm that recognized children as the biological creation of a male (i.e. “father”) and female (i.e. “mother”).

Things You Don’t Hear About Gender Dysphoria
By Laurie Higgins   |   12.08.17
School administrators and board members terrified of expensive lawsuits are capitulating to the demands of “gender”-confused adolescents. Parents are capitulating to the disordered thinking of their children, terrified that if they don’t, their children will commit suicide. Their fears are stoked by a deeply flawed study that is grossly misunderstood.  Academia, the arts, and the professional medical and mental health communities are controlled by Leftists who affirm the nonsensical “trans” ideology. And the mainstream press—not known for deep thinking...
Paraphilias of the day: Peodeiktophilia and Homeovestism
By John Biver   |   12.08.17
Just a quick review: what is a “paraphilia”? As previously noted, this intro to the Wikipedia page on the topic is sufficient: Paraphilia (also known as sexual perversion and sexual deviation) is the experience of intense sexual arousal to atypical...

Recently, I posted this article: George Soros Gets It: When Will More Wealthy Conservatives? My goal was to spur wealthy conservatives to increase their giving to organizations like the Illinois Family Institute (IFI) and Illinois Family Action (IFA). While it’s...

By John Biver   |   12.06.17
Here is Jonathan Haidt delivering the 2017 Wriston Lecture to the Manhattan Institute, Nov. 15 (the emphasis is my own): Today’s identity politics . . . teaches the exact opposite of what we think a liberal arts education should be....
