This is Why Kids Don’t Need Smartphones
12.18.21
For many years people have insisted that the online world is not the “real world.” There are elements of truth to this —a screen avatar can never capture the fullness of who someone is and the filtered versions of ourselves that we present on the internet can often hide what is actually happening in our lives — but in the nearly two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us have found ourselves, at some point or another, living significant portions of our lives online. As we grapple with this brave new world it is important that we recognize how the shifting digital landscape affects children and teens and the ways that it can harm them.
Smidge of Hope on the Education Horizon
By Laurie Higgins   |   12.17.21
For those who for years have been battling critical race theory-infused and sexually deviant material in public schools with little help from their friends, recent developments offer a smidge of hope. I began opposing both types of resources in about...
Family Estrangement on the Rise in America
12.14.21
Earlier this year the New York Times reported that 27% of American adults are currently estranged from at least one family member. 12% of parents over the age of 65 are estranged from at least one adult child. In parent-child estrangement, the adult child is usually the one who has cut off contact. Value-based disagreements play a significant role in these estrangements, especially when the rift is between a parent and an adult child. Family therapists have pointed out that rising political tensions in the past half-decade have coincided with increased family rifts.
Border Crisis Leading to Human Trafficking and Other Disasters
By   |   12.13.21
The crisis along the US-Mexican border continues with little effort from the Biden administration to stop the flood. In September, Del Rio, Texas, was nearly overrun when 30,000 illegal immigrants poured over the border into the town. This action meant illegal immigrants almost outnumbered actual citizens and, as a result, Del Rio’s public areas and living conditions deteriorated noticeably.
Medical Journals Refused to Publish Study Showing the Reality of Abortion Regret
12.10.21
For years, the abortion industry has denied, downplayed, and deflected on any link between abortion and depression. Abortion proponents have insisted that post-abortion syndrome is a “makey-uppy thing” and denied the reality of abortion regret. In doing so, they have consistently trivialized the real experiences of women who have been harmed by the abortion industry and have suffered through abortion regret when faced with the realization that their abortion ended their child’s life.
Salvation Army Responds To ‘Woke’ Criticism
By   |   12.10.21
After receiving complaints from donors and bad press, the Salvation Army has removed the guide, “Let’s Talk About Race.” The removal of the guide is a step in the right direction, and we should applaud the charity for its willingness...
Abortion on Trial
By Dr. Jerry Newcombe   |   12.09.21
Last week the U.S. Supreme Court heard an abortion case out of Mississippi, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. It would appear to be the most serious challenge to Roe v. Wade in three decades.

An interesting aspect of this story is this: How do the American people feel about this case?
No More Single Sex Bathrooms in Chicago Public Schools
By Laurie Higgins   |   12.08.21
The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) system—rife with systemic bias against conservative views of sex and sexuality—has announced its newest effort to cultivate “inclusivity” and “equity” in all of its K-12 schools. The “social justice” activists, puddenheads, and lemmings who lead the CPS have banned all sex-based bathrooms for children and staff. Instead, children and staff are free to use any bathroom they are “comfortable” using.
As It Should Be
By Rev. Thorin Anderson   |   12.07.21
America has been kind to evangelical Christians and Christianity over its two hundred and forty-five-year history.  I believe that more missionaries have been sent around the globe from the United States than from any other country, as well as billions...
This Great Opportunity!
By Rev. Thorin Anderson   |   12.03.21
We have been extraordinarily blessed to live in America.  Those who complain and seek to radically transform the country are sadly ignorant of how much better their lives are than most of those who live now or who have lived on earth.

If you know history you understand how wonderful our lives have been in this great Land, and we Christians, recalling how our forbearers have been treated through the centuries, should have a great appreciation for the liberties we have enjoyed here.
