Warning: you are about to encounter an onslaught of politically incorrect words. The following five phrases have been labeled "potentially harmful" by academia at the highest level, so interact with them at your own peril. Ready?

It is an assumption made every day by most news media, pundits, professors, entertainers, and even pastors -- the lie that Leftist policies are the most compassionate; conservative, Biblical worldviews are not. The assumption is so ingrained into the fabric of our society that it rarely gets called into question and even more rarely talked about. In 2023, it is as natural as air or water to believe in this dichotomy. And yet, even a mild magnifying glass on Leftist policies surfaces all sorts of lies, hypocrisy, and anything but real compassion.

The Bible says to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6).” Put two and two together, and it just makes sense that the devil will go after children. They’re impressionable - what you teach them will remain their whole lives - and they are less able to protect or defend themselves than adults. It’s why public schools try to keep secret the woke indoctrination they’re teaching children, or why Disney’s agenda is often found in movies aimed at young kids.

God created us male and female (Genesis 1:27). He told us that marriage is between a man and a woman (Mark 10:6-7). People are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). We are to take dominion over the earth (Genesis 1:28), and worship the Creator over the creature (Romans 1:25). Operating the way God created the world to work results in a happy, healthy fruitful society.

The family is a dangerous institution.

Which is why the forces of evil are aggressively targeting it. The family—consisting of one man and one woman in lifelong wedlock, and their children—is God's ordained means of filling the earth (Genesis 1:28, 2:24, 4:1, 9:1).

Can you imagine what would go through the mind of a child upon being told by his parents that he would be unsupervised all day?  He could do whatever he wanted!  It would be heaven, but no loving parent would ever allow such a thing.  The risk to the child would simple be too great.  “Anything goes” is a bad idea for any age.  But that is where our culture is being driven by the Left.

There is no more important social institution to society than marriage. It has a host of social benefits for adults and children. The breakdown of the family is directly linked to all sorts of societal problems including crime, poverty, public health, and educational challenges. This is a reality that has been well documented for decades by social science.

Recent assessments declare or imply that the church in America is dying. One headline described it this way: “Axios begins countdown to death of Christianity.”

We are all familiar with the expressions, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” or, “A stitch in time saves nine,” meaning it is wise to catch a problem early, while it is small and manageable, rather than to wait until it has grown and become a serious threat. We understand this with things like weeds in our garden or cancer.  But somehow, we neglect it in the arenas of politics and culture. 

The light of our lives and the light of our message should illuminate our surroundings. Our good deeds and our biblically based values should disseminate love and truth. At the same time, we are not called to take over society and impose our faith on the nation.

The U.S. Constitution is one of the most important documents in American history, yet it receives little attention in today’s academia. As the securer of our freedom, the U.S. Constitution deserves our attention and respect. Leading up to the November election, we will walk through this invaluable document and its meaning to us all.

Leftists, practiced at the art of deception, do not care about anyone who lives in America. They care about one thing: maintaining power at all costs. And they think catering to criminals will achieve that goal. The most controversial provision of this 763-word behemoth that was passed in the middle of the night, takes effect on Jan. 1, 2023 and is just now receiving its overdue public outcry.

On paper, the United States is a democratic republic. But one could argue that we have become a tyranny of thugs where people are afraid to speak their minds, and media giants shut down voices with which they disagree. In a republic the majority rules while the minority has significant protections. Amazingly, it is now an angry, vocal minority that rules. The majority is, by law, supposed to get its way, but many significant changes are being made in America against the will of the majority, the Constitution, and the laws of the land. We live in perilous times.

In an alarming new trend, and in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the contrived “right” to abortion, more men and women are choosing permanent sterilization. According to an article published by the LA Times, if women were already planning not to have kids, they decided to get sterilized sooner, or they were thinking more intensely about sterilization after the Dobbs decision was leaked.

Over the years I have observed hundreds of Christian families who seemingly did all the right things in raising their children, yet one or more still walked away from the faith of their parents once they were old enough to make their own decisions. No parent wants to go through all the trouble of training his or her children in the way they should go, only to find them turning around to head in the opposite direction.
