By definition, obstetric and other perinatal care providers always have two patients: a mother and her unborn baby. Both parties are considered equal in value and worthy of the full attention and effort of the provider, and in no case are they viewed as set against one another... State Representative Mary Flowers (D-Chicago) has filed a jaw-dropping bill , HB 80, that doesn’t propose merely “standards” or “guidelines” or even a type of curricula. Illinois House GOP Leader Jim Durkin (R-Western Springs) and ten House Republicans voted for the ERA, while five Democrats voted against this resolution.
Sixty-one state representatives in the Illinois House cave in to pressure from Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) and the LGBTQ lobby.
