American Parents Coalition: A Breath of Fresh Air for Parents

Culturally speaking, there is perhaps no more concerning trend these days than the attempts of the far Left to undermine parents and divide them from their children. From schools and libraries to the courts and the medical profession, radical forces are coming with the authority we’ve given them, and they’re coming for our kids.

Dragging Your Kids Down With Them: Part 3

Over the last couple articles, we discussed the rationale for the peculiarly odd wickedness known as drag. In what possible worldview does it make sense? That worldview is known as queer theory, a philosophy dedicated to overthrowing traditional sexual norms. Queer theory teaches that different kinds of sexual activity exist on a hierarchy, and that sex is a malleable social construct.

Tamela’s Story

Women are often told that abortion is their only option if they wish to pursue a career or get an education. “You will never have a career if keep your baby.” “You will never finish college if you choose to have your child.”

To Thee I Pledge Thee My…Trough??

The parties shall remain nameless, but since both are now deceased, I feel at liberty to repeat this story. At the wedding rehearsal the evening before the big event, the bride and groom were practicing their traditional vows. Apparently, the groom was unfamiliar with the term “troth,” an old English term meaning “my word”...

Act Like a Man

Here comes another Father’s Day. A relatively minor blip on the annual calendar compared to Mother’s Day. No need to explain why that is, right? What does it take to become a “father” or “dad?” Biology tells us that a boy barely entering his teenage years is quite capable of impregnating a female and voilà—the baby arrives nine months later. Welcome to the world of fatherhood—and motherhood.

The Good News: Conservative Companies Still Exist

On April 1, 2023 (making many wonder if it was an April Fool’s joke), popular transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney shared a sponsored post in partnership with Bud Light with nods to March Madness and his continuing personal documentary, “365 Days of Girlhood.” In June of 2023, Target released its highly controversial Pride merchandise line, including “tuck-friendly” swimsuits for transgender “women” (biological men).

The Pro-Life Intramural, Part 2

Last time, we discussed the two sides of the intramural pro-life debate: abolitionists and prudentialists. And we observed that each side has a valid perspective based on a very true aspect of the issue. But shall the twain ever meet?

Accomplices to Exploitation

Stories of children reported to be victims of sexual exploitation are so familiar these days that they have become little more than background noise in the daily news feed. Even our legislators don’t give this exploitation a second thought. At least, that’s the impression I get from a review of HB 5239.

Christian, Do Your Duty: Vote!

Every American citizen has, among other things, the right and responsibility to vote. If too many fail to take this responsibility seriously, it allows for a few, with bad intentions, to transform the state into an oligarchy or dictatorship!

Why Should Anyone Homeschool? Part 1

I've been blessed to write several dozen articles for IFI on topics ranging from transgender bathrooms to sports gambling to the politically correct concept of "ableism." It's been a very fun ride. But, peering back through it all—the rants on the artificial fertility lobby and the exposés of abortion politics, the laments over the modern denial of science and the abandonment of logic—I still think back to the very first article I ever wrote for the Institute: COVID Boosted Idea of Educational Freedom.

Online Sports Gambling – Church Leaders Beware!

Pete Rose was the all-time hit leader in Major League Baseball. However, he was gambling on the sport while playing. In the wake of the Pete Rose gambling controversy, he was banned from baseball on August 24, 1989.

“Three in One Flesh?”

The "slippery slope" idea is sometimes a fallacy. But other times, it's simply the way the world works. Concerned conservative Christians—the ones who warned us that legalizing one sexual perversion would lead to another down the road—were right. Say hello to polyamory, 2024.

Polyamory and Open Marriage

When a culture increasingly redefines marriage, marriage itself will eventually become meaningless. If marriage can mean anything you want it to, then it actually means nothing. An example of this is a new trend that is emerging in our country: open marriages and polyamory.

The Importance of Being Married. Some Thoughts About Love on Valentine’s Day

If there is one thing that our cultural leaders are not very earnest about anymore, it is marriage. There is much ado made about dating and the wedding ceremony itself, but how to succeed in marriage itself is given little attention. Statistics indicate that approximately half of marriages end in divorce. This is more than scandalous, it is destructive to the nation and dreadfully harmful to children, to say nothing about how God vies such things!
