MLB Commissioner Reveals His Anti-Christian Bias

The Major League Baseball (MLB) has come under heavy fire in the last couple weeks for their blatant anti-Christian discrimination practices.

During their “Pride Night” game on June 12th, three San Francisco Giants players — Landen Roupp, JT Brubaker and Ryan Walker — all wrote Genesis 9:12-16 on their League-issued baseball caps as a symbol of their Christian beliefs. These MLB caps displayed the SF logo in rainbow colors.

In this passage of Scripture, God declares that the rainbow is a sign of the Covenant that He made with Noah.

“Then God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant which I am giving to be between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;

I put My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.

And it will be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow will be seen in the cloud,

and I will remember My covenant, which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and never again shall the water become a flood to destroy all flesh.

So the bow shall be in the cloud, and I will look upon it, to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth.’”

The rainbow has always been a sign of God’s mercy and long-suffering.

However, as we know, our culture has twisted and perverted this beautiful symbol of God’s unmerited favor into a symbol of sexual perversion and rebellion.

Christians rightly applauded players for living out their faith with boldness.

But instead of honoring the freedom of religion that is inscribed into our First Amendment rights, the MLB warned these players about sharing their faith.

The following Monday, MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred, whose salary is a whopping $25 million annually, issued a statement regarding the Bible verses — claiming,

“The writing on the cap violates our rules, and consistent with normal practice, we have warned the players about future violations.”

U.S. Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, in response to the MLB’s statement, noted that not only is this statement a violation of the players’ First Amendment rights, but it also raises questions about the MLB’s own biased practices.

“MLB has said this is a content-neutral policy and that MLB ‘respect[s] players’ right to free expression.’ But this is dubious, given that MLB is openly promoting a political viewpoint and possibly compelling adherence to that viewpoint…”

The League claims that their policy does not allow uniforms to be written on; yet, during the infamous BLM protests, the League had no issue with players writing their personal political slogans on their uniforms.

The double standard is stark.

In response, Hawley has demanded specific answers from the MLB regarding their treatment of Christian players and the pattern of anti-Christian discrimination that the League has exhibited.

“The freedom to live out one’s faith does not end at the ballpark gate. Americans of every creed are entitled to confidence that the institutions of our national pastime will not single out religious expression for punishment while celebrating messages of the league’s own choosing.”

While Commissioner Manfred responded to Hawley that none of the players would be fined or disciplined, the pattern of bias against Christianity is still clear.

Freedom of Religion is paramount to the fabric and makeup of our country and its founding documents, and it is crucial that we protect it.

TAKE ACTION: Click HERE to email MLB Commissioner Robert Manfred to urge the MLB to stop celebrating controversial deviant sexual activities which are highly divisive. MLB games should be family friendly and age appropriate – not rated R for immoral adult celebrations.
