There’s something rotten in the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC). It’s rotting from the inside due to the presence of wolves in sheep’s clothing like Peter Hawkinson, pastor of Winnetka Covenant Church; North Park Theological Seminary professor, Michelle Clifton-Soderstrom; and the recently removed chaplain of North Park University, Judy Peterson. Their theological drift away from orthodoxy is indicative of what is taking place in many denominations that are supplanting Scripture with subjective human experience and desire as the lens through which to read and interpret Scripture.
