Anti-baby state lawmakers contend that in the interest of “fairness” taxpayers should fund abortions for low-income women in Illinois. However, a life leader is raising other possible motives for the tax-dollar drive for abortions.

TAKE ACTION: Please urge your state senator and Governor Rauner to OPPOSE HB 40 by clicking here. The bill has already passed in the House by a vote of 62-55. HB 40 will authorize the use of your tax dollars to pay for abortions in Illinois through Medicaid and on state government health care insurance plans. It is sponsored by State Rep. Sara Feigenholtz (D-Chicago).  This bill would reverse the current law which bans taxpayer funding of abortion under Medicaid.
