Prayer is God’s solution for our morally rotten culture.

Many of you are committed to prayer and we believe many more of you will respond with a desire to devote time to pray for His cause of truth and righteousness.

Followers of Christ are God’s ambassadors of Truth to the culture.  And because we are admonished by our Creator to be alert and pray continuously, we are pleading with those who share our values to ask for God’s mercy for this state and nation.

We are in an intense spiritual battle. Most would agree that our state is so far gone that only God is able to restore it. But know that we serve an all-powerful God who is “able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20)

Naturally and spiritually speaking, our state is a field severely overgrown with the weeds of violence (including abortion), sexual immorality, addictions, greed, apathy, etc. And these are decimating families.

We see in the parable of the wheat and the tares: “While men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way…” (Matthew 13:25). The church has been asleep far too long. Now it’s time to get on our knees and ask God to move in the hearts and minds of church leaders and church attendees—the Church.

As praying people, we are the watchmen who can hinder our adversary from sowing further destruction. (James 5:16; Colossians 4:2)

Here are some additional prayers to lift up before our Holy God over the next several weeks.

Please Pray:

• Pray for mighty revival, a sweeping move of the Holy Spirit to bring millions to the foot of the Cross.

• While we vehemently disagree with most of the public policy positions of the current White House administration, Joe Biden’s recent decision to drop out of the race and endorse Kamala Harris has thrown the Democratic Party into crisis mode in advance of the DNC Convention in Chicago during the week of August 19-22. Pray that abortion cheerleaders and LGBTQIA activists are unable to influence the minds and emotions of the delegates considering nominating a candidate for POTUS.

• With the recent assassination attempt against Donald Trump, we are reminded to pray for the physical, emotional and spiritual well-being of all the candidates running for political office.

• Pray that the Lord would change hearts and minds of DNC delegates and power brokers on issues of crucial moral concern. God is able to soften even the hardest of hearts.

• Pray that the Lord would cause POTUS nominees to show compassion toward the preborn and to even rise to defend them.

• Pray for Biden and Harris as they finish out their term. Pray for their staff and for their families, “that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.” It is our duty as Christians to do so, and we know that this kind of prayer is good and pleasing to God. (1 Timothy 2:2)

• Pray that God would make the next White House administration serve in humility. Pray that the next POTUS will seek to honor God and do His will on earth as it is done in heaven.

• Pray that the next White House administration will uphold religious liberty, so we might continue to worship peaceably and freely exercise our God-given human rights.

• Pray that the next White House administration will recognize the grave civic danger posed by the degradation of families and faith due to the culture’s views of sex and human identity.

• Pray that Christ and the wisdom of God’s Word might reign in the hearts and minds of the nominees for POTUS and that they will be moved supernaturally to make every decision to the glory of our Father in Heaven.

• Pray that ungodly officials will be removed from office and that a righteous person would take their place. Let their authority be stripped from them according to Isaiah 22:20–22.

• Pray that Planned Parenthood and other groups that make a profit through human suffering and immoral activities, wither and dry up immediately.

• Pray that more and more “employees” of abortion mills will walk away from the heinous practice of child sacrifice.

• Pray that the judicial system will uphold First Amendment rights of sidewalk counselors and crisis pregnancy centers.

• Pray that in the 2024 election season, pro-life candidates will have the time, energy, and funding needed to saturate their districts with their pro-life campaign messages and materials.

• Pray that parents/grandparents and church leaders will rescue impressionable young children from government schools and prioritize the discipleship of these children in the Christian faith.

• Pray that we might be found faithful to our calling and His mandate on our lives to be ambassadors of the gospel.

• Pray that whatever the future calls us to, we will be found honoring God’s truth and His Word, so that He will always have a witness of His power on this earth.

To You, Lord, I lift up my soul.
