Earlier this year, we posted a short article about Prisha Mosley, a 25-year-old woman who decided to sue a team of doctors and medical professionals for pushing her into gender transition procedures when she was a teen. Her lawsuit claims these medical professionals convinced Prisha that transitioning would solve her mental health issues.

Last week, the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) heard arguments in a significant case regarding transgender abuse of children, specifically challenging Tennessee’s ban on so-called “gender-affirming care” for minors. Activists on both sides of the issue gathered outside the Supreme Court building in Washington D.C. to demonstrate for and against the ban.

According to an article by The Telegraph, Prisha was among the supporters of the ban, telling reporters the horrors of the medical transition treatments she received. “I will suffer for the rest of my life for believing in my confusion those who perpetuate these cruel lies,” she told the crowd.

When I was too young, people tried to warn me, and those people were painted as ‘transphobes’ by the very medical professionals who were poisoning me.”

Speaking to The Telegraph outside the court, the 26-year-old from Michigan revealed the impact of her transition.

Having been prescribed hormone therapy and puberty blockers and then undergoing a double mastectomy as a teenager, Ms. Mosley has been left with lasting health problems.

She is reliant on hormone treatment, experiences chronic pain and, after giving birth to a son six months ago, has milk “trapped” in her chest and is unable to feel her baby when she hugs him close.

“My chest is numb, and I don’t feel my baby when I hold him there,” she said.

The article continues to report her lament:

Ms. Mosley said she first began questioning her gender identity as a teenager after speaking to gender dysphoria activists online.

At the time, she was experiencing anxiety and depression and suffering from anorexia.

When she raised with her doctors that she felt she was born in the wrong body, she said they immediately “medicalized” her as transgender.

She said the reaction from doctors was: “Okay, your body is wrong. Let’s give you medicine for it.”

Her parents were supportive of the treatment at the time but now feel they were “lied to by the activist doctors who were treating me.”

Other detransitioners like Chloe ColeLuka Hein, and Laura Smalts also have devastating testimonies about how they were pushed into radical medical treatments.

Lies.

Prisha and her parents now willingly admit publicly they were lied to by the medical establishment – the very people who took an oath to “first do no harm.” But, as in with much of human corruption, “just follow the money.” It is a fact that Big Med and Big Pharma, in conjunction with anti-family forces like Planned Parenthood, are raking in unbelievable amounts of money as the industry grows:

  • Surgery Market: The U.S. sex reassignment surgery market was estimated at around $2.1 billion in 2022, with projections suggesting it could reach $5.0 billion by 2030, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 11.25% from 2023 to 2030. This growth is attributed to increasing societal acceptance, better insurance coverage, and advancements in surgical techniques.

  • Hormone Therapy: The market for hormone therapy related to gender affirmation was valued at $1.6 billion in 2022, expected to expand at a CAGR of 4.05% from 2023 to 2030. This includes both estrogen and testosterone treatments for transgender individuals.

There is not much doubt that the incentive for the growth in gender-affirming medical interventions are driven by the profit motive. Critics rightly argue that the industry’s growth is fueled by financial gain — high costs of the procedures and the likelihood of lifelong medication dependency.

Prisha’s medical malpractice lawsuit underscores a growing legal and ethical debate regarding the medical abuse of young people with gender dysphoria, focusing on informed consent, the legitimacy of transgender medicine, and the long-term consequences of transitioning during adolescence.

For Bible-believing Christians, there is no confusion:

So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. ~Genesis 1:27
This truth is not just written in the first chapter of Scripture, but recorded in the Gospel, as Jesus affirmed God’s original design in Matthew 19:4 and Mark 10:6-9:
“Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’

Moody Bible Institute’s Professor Christopher Yuan fleshes this out in an article for DesiringGod.com, saying

Being created in the image of God and being male or female are essential to being human. Sex (male and female) is not simply biological or genetic, just as being human is not simply biological or genetic. Sex is first and foremost a spiritual and ontological reality created by God. Being male or female cannot be changed by human hands; sex is a category of God’s handiwork — His original and everlasting design.

As hard as anyone may try to alter this fact in his or her own body, the most that can be done is to artificially remove or augment body parts, or use pharmaceuticals to unnaturally suppress the biological and hormonal reality of one’s essence as male or female. In other words, psychology usurps biology; what I feel becomes who I am. When denying this physical and genetic reality, we allow experience to supersede essence, and more importantly, the image of God.

We recommend reading the entire article when you are able.

A decision in the SCOTUS case (U.S. v. Skrmetti) is anticipated by the summer of 2025. Join us in praying for the nine Justices of the Court.

Please PRAY:  Pray that a strong majority of the Justices understand how barbaric and sinister gender ideology is for our culture and especially for our children. Pray that they will uphold this state law to protect children.
