Shannon Adcock is a mother of three who awakened in 2020 to the War on Children. She founded Awake Illinois after running for local school board to give citizens a grassroots platform to advocate on topics such as Critical Race Theory, anti-Americanism, and cancel culture. Her efforts have grown into Awake Americans to empower more communities throughout the Midwest. She also chairs the first IL chapter of Moms for Liberty and is heavily involved in national education issues and civic empowerment. Her advocate journey is one of Faith where walking with Him is never lonely, even in the lowest of valleys.
Frank McCormick graduated with a dual major degree in Education and History and the Senior Prize in Student Teaching for his accomplishments at Highland Park High School, Frank brings with him a wealth of experience, having taught history, political science, geography, and economics for over eleven years at Waukegan High School and Loyola Academy. As a former unionized public school teacher, no one knows the inner workings of the public school system better than Frank. It was his firsthand experience and disillusionment with the system he once served that led him to blow the whistle on the ideological bias and rampant corruption hurting the students of Waukegan Public Schools
