An Illinois Senate Executive Committee subject matter hearing on the assisted suicide bill, SB 9, will be held in Chicago this Friday, February 21st. Please try to attend to pack the room with pro-life citizens, if you’re able.
The fact that giving a person lethal drugs to end their life is seriously being considered testifies to how depraved the thinking in the Illinois General Assembly among some lawmakers has become.
Foundations are cracking around us. Therefore, we must speak out and do whatever is in our power to undergird them. Our children and grandchildren are depending on us. Upholding the uniqueness and sanctity of all human life is at the very top.
The medical community has been a trusted source of healing for countless individuals for ions. While we are aware that not every medical professional adheres to the strict standards found in the Hippocratic Oath, the majority do which is one reason they chose their profession.

Opposition is growing against further expanding the death culture in Illinois through physician assisted suicide. Some organizations and denominations have issued statements to that end: National Disability Organizations, Assembly of God Denomination, Catholic Conference of Illinois, Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod, Christian Medical and Dental Association, the American Medical and American Psychiatric Associations.
Once passed into law, it’s inevitable that restrictions will be broadened, just as they have been expanded and ignored elsewhere. Where will it stop?!
TAKE ACTION: Please take a few minutes to file a witness slip in opposition to SB 9, physician assisted suicide. IMPORTANT: Under Section III. Subject Matter, make sure you select SB 9, not Senate Bill 9.
