It’s the start of a new year and you know what THAT means! Two things: worthless resolutions and a bevy of awards shows on television. The first of those shows is coming up Sunday, January 12th. It’s billed as The 30th Annual Critics Choice Awards. Hosting the big night will be Chelsea Handler. It will broadcast live on E! 

The failure of the public school system is no secret, which causes many Christian families to wisely opt out of public school. Still, all parents desire their children to receive quality education, with high academic excellence being one of the goals and main tenets, along with biblical teaching.

In our last couple articles, we examined two car commercials which both came out recently. Jaguar's ad was one of the most grotesque I've seen, but Volvo's was one of the most beautiful. After all, we all live in the "normal world" created by God.

Word of the year candidates for 2024 included “Polarization"—Merriam-Webster’s choice. Dictionary.com opted for “demure.” They both had their reasons. My personal choice would be “comeback,” recognizing the remarkable reemergence of a political “has been” and his party winning both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

Last time, we examined a shocking ad recently put out by Jaguar, the luxury car manufacturer. An ad which glorifies the abnormal and urges viewers to "delete ordinary" and "copy nothing." 

Jaguar, the British luxury vehicle manufacturer, recently released an unsettling 30-second advertisement. For a creepy half-minute, a group of more-or-less androgynous characters in idiosyncratic costumes and hairstyles exit a yellow elevator and take up various unsmiling poses in front of the camera. They eventually congregate by a boulder in the middle of a pink-tinted desert landscape to stare uncomfortably into your soul.

His/Her name is Drew Stever. She holds a position as a female minister in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Drew is a transvestite who identifies as a man. I’m fairly confident she has found much support within her denomination, which is headquartered in Chicago.
