What is truth? Pilate said those words to Jesus some 2,000 years ago as Christ was headed to the cross, and it’s a question that the world continues to ask today. The answer the culture has arrived at has turned out to be less than satisfactory.

In April of this year, I wrote an article urging conservatives to fight corporate wokeism from the bottom-up. Remember: businesses only do what you pay them to do. Now, I'm happy to announce that in June, we saw yet another great example of this strategy put into practice...

As God’s people, we seek to share the gospel and glorify Him –being salt and light in a lost and dark world. One way that the Holy Spirit seems to be increasingly working through His Church is through movies and television shows, including those produced by Angel Studios such as The Chosen, Sound of Freedom, and now Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot.

Though I am not a firefighter, I know that sometimes that they have to use destructive methods to save structures and lives. Sometimes in fighting wildfires, it is necessary to burn portions of land to create a buffer and keep a fire from spreading. Imagine if these protective measures were twisted to suggest that firefighters support arson and destruction of property.

Our understanding of what we think is true constantly changes. At least, it does if we continue to learn. When I was in high school, for example, my science textbook unequivocally stated that the entire universe consisted of 16 galaxies. Period. Now, more than sixty years later, we do not know how many galaxies there are.

Public discourse is frequently angry, full of yelling, name-calling, and “gotcha” statements. There’s no love and often little truth in the interaction. Christians are supposed to be different.

A homeschool advocate acquainted with an IFI staff member recently answered over 150 Facebook messages about homeschooling. "It's just blowing up!" the advocate said. "Lots and lots of parents from central and southern IL wanting out." Homeschooling has been around for a few decades now, and it has made significant advances in quality and acceptability over the years, but it usually seems to have been relegated to the academic fringes.

If you had surveyed the public a decade ago and asked whether they believed Roe v. Wade would be overturned, a majority would have emphatically said, “No.” Even to the most optimistic person, this seemed far-fetched as a possibility. But in 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned this stronghold of darkness called Roe v. Wade.
