For our secular culture, Christmas time is about gift giving, gathering with family, Santa Claus, candy canes, and gingerbread houses. And while these are fun gifts to be enjoyed, we as Christians are called to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

Many changes have occurred in the past four years, but Dr. Wayne Grudem’s remarks at the 2016 IFI Worldview Conference are as informative and valuable now as they were then.

The United States of America is unique. We were not established from an ethnic group, or a tribe, or a religion, or an aristocracy, or a race. Such things do not define us. We were forged from an idea. We were founded as a constitutional republic on the principles of federalism, individual liberty, limited government, and separation of powers.

As you know, Lincoln was our first Republican president and served during the entire course of the Civil War. The war ended on April 9, 1865. Lincoln fell to an assassin’s bullet in Ford’s Theatre 5 days later.

With the holiday season fast approaching, many people are starting to wonder what they should get their loved ones for Christmas. Unfortunately, so many of the luxury brands we enjoy in America come from companies that don’t prioritize being both high-quality and ethically made. Not so for Cozy Earth.

In many ways the Lord has answered our prayers and been merciful to us as a nation. Praise be to the God of heaven for His kindness and blessings! We did not deserve this—never forgot it.

It seems as though every crevice of our society has been infested with “wokeness.” Unfortunately, our phone service providers are no exception.

As we draw closer to the General Election, most Christians recognize the many serious cultural and spiritual troubles facing our nation. But new elected officials will not solve the deep-seeded problems we are facing as a people. We are the salt of the earth, and we are called to pray without ceasing, recognizing that "we do not wrestle against flesh and blood."

If you claim the name of Jesus Christ and consider Him your Lord and Savior, your Master and your King, or even if you are just a U.S. citizen with common sense and respect for our nation’s heritage and the Christian faith of many of your neighbors, I pray you are informed on the upcoming election and ready to vote

One of our Facebook friends, with whom I served on a church council, posted an invitation to visit his church on October 20th for a “politically” themed sermon. Oh, that can be dangerous.
