“The Lord is risen indeed…”
Luke 24:34
Easter Sunday is the culmination of Holy Week. We would do well to take time to reflect on who we are and where we stand in our faith. Our patience and devotion have been challenged many times over the last few years, but also rewarded. Now would be a good time to look back on the path we have taken and gear up for the next steps, as people of faith and as Americans.
Additionally, we must keep our state and our nation in our prayers. The foundations of our Christian nation and culture remain under constant attack. A culture of death and darkness has replaced what was once a beacon of hope, and the sanctity of human life faces seemingly increasing attacks from those who hate wisdom and love death. (Proverbs 8:36)
Praise God for President Donald Trump’s strong message given recently at the White House, celebrating Jesus’ resurrection and salvation of sinners and vowing “to defend the Christian faith” and “religious liberty.” Last year, President Joe Biden decided to proclaim sexual immorality and confusion on Easter Sunday. This year, President Trump dedicated the entirety of Holy Week and Resurrection Sunday to the Lord, issuing a strong message that is on the White House website: Presidential Message on Holy Week, 2025.
The message emphasizes reflection on Jesus’ sacrifice and preparation for His resurrection, noting His love and suffering on the cross. The administration pledges to defend Christian faith, religious liberty, and the dignity of life in public institutions, aiming to maintain America as a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom, while praying for a future reflecting Christ’s eternal kingdom.
It is the love of God in us that compels us to do the work that we do at IFI.
Many blessings to you and your family as you celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
