Biblical Self-Defense
May 8 @ 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Join Illinois Family Institute, New Hope Community Church and the Christian Emergency League for a very special event featuring the discussion topics of mass shootings, Biblical self-defense, violence in culture and the dangers of being a soft target.

Hear from internationally recognized scholar, author, soldier and speaker, Professor of Psychology, Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, U.S. Army (ret).

Dave Grossman has authored books that are required reading at West Point, the U.S. Air Force Academy, police academies worldwide, numerous universities and “letter” agencies throughout the U.S. law enforcement community. His books include the internationally acclaimed, “Stop Teaching Our Kids to Kill: A Call to Action Against TV, Movie and Video Game Violence.”

You will also be able to hear from “America’s Chaplain” Steve Lee. Chaplain at Ground Zero during 9/11, Steve has served at mass shooting incidents all over the country, including Mandalay Bay, the Pulse Nightclub and Columbine. Chaplain Lee is a career law enforcement and ministry veteran, having served in patrol, corrections, juvenile, major crimes/homicide, SWAT, supervision and as a federal NIS Special Agent in foreign counterintelligence and counterterrorism.

Join us for this rare chance to hear Lt. Col. Dave Grossman and special guest, Chaplain Steve Lee. This will be a unique and special event that promises to challenge and grow you, as we apply faith and the Word of God, in today’s increasingly violent culture and society.

Be sure to invite friends, clergy, law enforcement and local elected officials!

Doors open at 6pm. Meet & Greet, Book Signing, Q&A and more.
