The Homeschool Freedom Directory is a new platform created to help Christian homeschool families find businesses, churches, local  governments, candidates, healthcare providers, attorneys, and other organizations and resources that support their values. Homeschoolers can search, create listings and earn commissions for helping the community grow, …all while advancing homeschool freedom.

Search

It’s free to search the directory. Just go to HomeschoolFreedomDirectory.com, log in and you’re on your way.

Listings are organized by category and county and searchable by key word across the whole directory. Let’s say you want to find a doctor in your local area that you trust will understand your values and parental rights. You click through the directory map from your country to your county where you will see categories for business, churches, healthcare providers, attorneys, governments, etc. Click: Healthcare Providers, and voila!

Right now, for example, if you go to the site and search in Coles County, Illinois, you will find such a doctor: not only has he affirmed the Homeschool Freedom Pledge, but he is also giving discounts to homeschoolers!

What’s the Homeschool Freedom Pledge, you ask?

Simply put, it is Christian, family values expressed in home learning terms.

Everyone who wants to list on the site must affirm the Homeschool Freedom Pledge. Here’s a copy for your consideration:

List

And that brings me to another way the Directory can help homeschool families.

According to Dr. Brian Ray of the National Home Education Research Institute, there are presently close to 3,400,000 million homeschoolers in the United States alone. (Ray, nheri.org) With 3, 144 counties in the US, that’s an average of a little over 1,000 homeschoolers per county.

When a homeschool family puts a listing on the site, they are letting millions of home educators know they stand with them and that they are there, ready to serve the homeschool community. In addition to having an ad on the site in your category, you get to list your events in the events category at no additional charge, and, depending on your listing tier, the Directory sends out monthly direct emails that include your custom ads.

We even have a beautiful decal (shown above) for your shop window or car to help bring the people who share your values your way. We want to help other homeschoolers find and support you. Here’s an example of a listing that was added last week in Douglas County, Illinois. Pet milk, anyone?

And here is the Directory tiers and price list.

Earn

Finally, in order to help the Directory grow, we have created the Homeschool Freedom Advocate opportunity, where homeschool families can earn commissions when they find and submit listings to the site. Commissions start at $50 and go to $1000, and there is no limit or territory or upfront cost to get started.

To become a Homeschool Freedom Advocate submit the inquiry form on the site or message advocates@homeschoolfreedomdirectory.com. You’ll receive an email with your next steps within one to two business days. (Be sure to check your spam folder and add the Directory email address  to your whitelist.)

The mission of the Homeschool Freedom Directory is to advance homeschool freedom from the “County through the Country”. We believe the most effective way to do this is to help homeschool families organize and support each other at the local level in every sphere of our lives.

This is because home learning isn’t just another schooling option, it’s a vital part of the Christian way of life.
