In my article “Preventing a socialist American revolution” I mentioned a technique that “progressives” use to overthrow a government. Their “color revolution” concept uses mass protests and rioting until the government falls.

Most of us are unaware of this concept, or choose to ignore it. However, we found people who think that such a revolution can be made to happen in America. They’re freely spending to literally build the needed armies.

This spring some journalists found one of these armies at work in Newark, New Jersey. They exposed the groups belonging to it, showed how they cooperate, and named their financiers. This discovery warns us that violent conflict is in our future.

What is color revolution?

“Color revolution” is government takeover through a campaign of mass intimidation. The technique has already been used to oust governments in Serbia, Georgia (the nation), and Ukraine. Could it work here? Maybe we’ll find out.

An American version of this isn’t likely to fully overthrow our government, but it could convince our leaders to make drastic decisions. As examples:

• Appoint a lot of new liberal justices to the Supreme Court. After that a “living Constitution” becomes possible. This version of the Court would disregard what the Constitution actually says, and by their words alone enable revolutionary agendas.
• Force the calling of a constitutional convention. While this sounds very ordinary and proper, given our current lack of cultural consensus it wouldn’t go well for us.
• Open the border by legislation, permitting unbridled mass immigration. Note that such laws can’t be overcome merely through executive orders.

A color revolution requires large numbers of protesters, supplied and coordinated. What if I told you that armies for this cause already exist in America?

A revolutionary army deployed in Newark

We’ve seen protests at the ICE facility at Delaney Hall, in Newark, New Jersey. Fox News went to the demonstrations and took notes. The analyst DataRepublican then rendered her observations on what went on there. This is some of what they found:

• The demonstrators followed orders from above. They went to Delaney Hall when commanded, and left when told to. They accepted being under command.
• There was direct communication between the highest leaders and the protesters. One simple message from the leaders on the Signal network and the demonstrators quit their efforts.
• The protesters, from 400 to 800 in number, were trained in tactics, each person having a role.

• Scouts, trained in military-style surveillance. Used to locate ICE and police officers.
• Anti-arresters, who work to undo the arrests made by ICE personnel.
• ‘Military police’ who keep ‘hostile’ reporters at bay.
• Suppliers of meals and riot gear.
• The effort was financed by nationally-known organizations.

These are attributes of an organized and trained force. All that was missing from it being a regular army were firearms.

A mere sample of nationwide war prep

All of this was seen in Newark, and it’s quite a big deal. But people don’t lavish this much money, and muster all of this manpower, simply to discourage immigration policing in New Jersey. No, this organizing is to prepare for generic rioting purposes. Immigration is today’s issue, but what will the issue be tomorrow?

I conclude that this Newark effort is a trial of use of their army. Through this deployment it had the bugs shaken out of its communication network, and people got practice communicating up and down the command structure. The lessons learned there will be spread nationwide, because its leaders already are nationwide.

There are probably other networks of organizations, all building their own armies. We just haven’t found them.

Layers upon layers of bad intent

The reporting on the Newark protests exposed organizations that cooperate to force political change, or even government change, through intimidation and force. Each organization has a particular role based on its strengths. Here is a list of the major players at work in Newark, showing how each of them is willing to work to overturn society.

Foot soldiers for social justice

People get politically motivated for many reasons, but too many of them just like to protest. It’s considered to be a fun game with few consequences. Still, people don’t just show up at protests on their own. They’re directed there by coalitions of special interest groups.

The National Day Laborer Organizing Network (NDLON) provided many of Newark’s protesters. It could do so because it’s a large overreaching network with almost 70 participant organizations. It also mustered their network during their “Justice Bus” tour in March, demonstrating their protesters’ training and the coalition’s readiness to act. Their web site cites principles of non-violence and such. But when the opportunity arose they supplied violent protesters.

Revolutionary organization and command

Cosecha Community provides training, structure, communications, and leadership for a protester army.

• It facilitates training in techniques of street blockades, how to “un-arrest” protesters from the police, and how to perform military-grade tactical surveillance.
• It organizes the protesters into small “cell” groups. Such cells are commonly used by revolutionary organizations to disguise their full membership from police forces.
• It provides tactical communication networks so the forces act as one unit. We saw at Newark that one call can do it all.
• It loans cadres of experienced leaders to make the whole event explosive.

Cosecha Community believes in political confrontations. They claim to practice non-violence, but attacking police and ICE is hardly non-violent.

Strategy

Momentum Community provides both strategy and a vision of victory.

• Its “frontloading” strategy seeks to quickly build a protest organization dedicated to confrontation and escalation. An organization using Momentum’s advice is encouraged to use early protests to swell their ranks for later and larger goals. They transform from issue activists into professional protesters.
• Its vision of victory is the belief that they need only 3.5% of the people with them and the day is won. That sounds like an easy goal to reach, and encourages their troops.

Momentum Community specializes in mass protest. They claim to prefer non-violence. But now that rioting and burning things are now called “mostly peaceful protests” it’s a meaningless distinction. They teach creating political change through physically disrupting society.

Logistics

An army doesn’t stay around without food and supplies. Newark showed all of that:  catered meals, tents and tables for infrastructure, and riot gear valued at $100 per person. The reporters at Newark couldn’t identify the suppliers, but what they saw tells of big bucks and organization. Since the suppliers know that these supplies are for the riots, they’re basically co-conspirators.

Finance

Squads of experienced protest leaders at need, paid trainers of rioting techniques, ample supplies for everybody, catered food on-site, lawyers to get protesters out of jail – all of this requires a lot of cash. Here are major financiers of the Newark effort.

• Open Society Foundations is the major resource for protest funding. It is owned and operated by George and Alex Soros. They’re justifiably accused of supporting, and financing, color revolutions around the world – and in America.
• Neo Philanthropy acts as a middleman. It takes cash from the big boys – Open Society Foundation, Ford Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, etc. – and distributes it to smaller groups. In doing so they essentially launder donations so that they can’t be tracked to the protest organizations. Their web site cites their dedication to social justice and power transformation, making them co-conspirators with the other groups.

There you have it: the anatomy of a revolutionary army. It’s professionally led, well supplied, has a strategy for winning, and uses tactics appropriate for its mission. This is what insurrection looks like. You might not think that this is possible in America, but you must believe your eyes.

Pretending to have popular support

These protesters don’t intend to win by force of arms. Their army isn’t up to that, but it is up to rioting and violence. They’ll claim to be the voice of the people, and that we must immediately give them what they demand. Otherwise, they say, the protests and violence will continue to escalate.

Would they really be the voice of the people? Common political wisdom says that the most strident of protesters are just the loudest people in a wave of public discontent. But a color revolution lacks that wave of discontent. There are only the strident protesters.

To be blunt, they’re faking it. That’s why Momentum Community insists that 3.5% support means that they’ve won. They want people to see and hear their strident masses, and then believe that there must be a silent majority backing them.

This lack of popular support should be easy to detect. But when you’re an official confronted with lots of angry protesters, do you have the leisure to do issues research? The revolutionaries are planning on keeping you so busy with immediate crises that you can’t perform a seasoned reflection.

In concept, defeating this revolution is easy

To defeat a color revolution our officials must be fervently reassured that American society does not approve of the rioters or their demands. In fact, the rioters should and must be treated as an attacking army. And if needed, suppressed through use of deadly force.

You could say “wait a minute, that’s going too far!” But is it? These protesters threaten actual revolution, and intend to overturn our American society. The effects of their gaining control would hurt, and even kill, a great many people. These protesters need to be promptly and abruptly stopped.

The primary role of government is to protect itself, and society, “against all enemies foreign and domestic.” A color revolution is just the thing that our government should protect us from. Will American society assure our officials that they can do what is needed to protect us?

Are we committed to winning?

Against a color revolution, America wins if our officials don’t make the demanded concessions. But will they give in anyway? It seems that about half of them are already in the tank for socialism and whatever. This fraction would readily vote for packing the Supreme Court, and other stuff, if they could get away with it.

Ultimately, a color revolution comes down to a battle for public opinion.

• Does America collectively love its society enough to recognize threats to its existence, and be willing to work, and even fight, to preserve it?
• Or are we collectively ashamed of our way of life, and not willing to lift a finger to preserve it?

As I’ve said before, American Christian culture is the only game in town. There is no Christian-friendly replacement available. We must order our lives within its conventions, and insist that others do likewise.
