Twenty-five years have passed since September 11, 2001, a day that seared itself into our consciousness. We remember the shock, the empty streets, and the brief, desperate moment when our nation turned back to God. For a time, even the wicked were stunned into silence. But that spirit of national spiritual reflection was short-lived. Today, it is painfully clear that we have not only forgotten the lessons of that day; we have allowed the very enemy that struck us to gain a foothold within our borders.

While we are preoccupied with trivial and worldly pursuits, the infrastructure of our society is being dismantled. Years of open borders and managed mass migration—including the reckless refugee relocation programs during the Obama administration—have fundamentally altered the character of our nation. It is no longer a matter of distant headlines; it is a domestic reality. CAIR now boasts that over 250 Muslims hold political office across this country, including here in Illinois. Most of these elected officials serve agendas that are fundamentally incompatible with the survival of our Constitutional republic.

While the Trump administration has taken necessary steps to secure our borders and neutralize existential threats like the Iranian regime, the danger remains acute. Globally, the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria, Sudan, Syria, and the Congo should be a wake up call to us in the U.S. This is what they intend for all of us in the West.

Osama Bin Laden’s mandate to destroy America and bring us into submission did not die with him. Whether advanced by al-Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram, ISIS, the Taliban or political operatives promoting Sharia-compliant policies, the ultimate objective remains the same: the destruction of our Christian civilization.

We are currently witnessing the ritual humiliation of our heritage. In cities like Chicago and Dearborn, mobs openly chant “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.” These radicals are not interested in “inclusion,” “co-existiance,” “tolerance” or even “pluralism.”

They despise the biblical foundations of the West—the sanctity of life, the concept of God-given liberty, and the ordered society that made America great. They are exploiting our misplaced generosity to hollow out the nation from within, replacing our laws with a system of total submission.

Yet, the greatest tragedy is not the malice of our enemies; it is the slumber of the Church.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, the disciples slept while the fate of the world hung in the balance. In the hull of a storm-tossed ship, Jonah slept while the sailors cried out for mercy.

Today, the American Church is in a deep, spiritual slumber. We watch as our communities crumble and our heritage is erased, hoping that if we close our eyes long enough, the storm will pass.

But there is no hiding. We are tasked by the Lord to steward the liberty He has granted us, yet we have ceded the halls of government to those who serve a different god. As the late, courageous analyst Philip Haney warned:

“Jihad is the tactic; the goal is world domination.”

If we truly believe that Christ is King—not merely of our private devotions, but of every sphere of human existence—then we must act. We cannot afford the luxury of silence or the cowardice of compromise. We must hold our ground, organize, and reclaim the political and cultural life of this nation for the sake of our children and our posterity.

The Adversary is advancing, but the Church cannot remain indifferent and dormant. It is time to arise, put on the armor of the Lord, and assault the very gates of hell. Christ has already promised: they will not stand. (Matthew 16:18)

As Christians, our primary weapon in this spiritual war has always been the Gospel. Jesus Christ died and conquered death in order to redeem men from every tribe, tongue, and nation. Therefore, and our highest priority must be the evangelism and conversion of Muslims to the saving truth of our Lord and Savior. We must pray fervently for their eyes to be opened to the love of God and the Prince of Peace, bringing them out of darkness and into His marvelous light.

At the same time, we cannot afford to be naive. While we labor and pray for genuine spiritual transformation, history and Scripture remind us that conflict remains a sober, looming reality. Spiritual warfare often manifests in earthly aggression.

To love our neighbor means desiring their salvation, but it also means protecting our families, our communities, and our nation from those who actively seek our destruction. We must bow our heads and keep our hands folded in prayer, but we dare not drop our guard when the threat at our doorstep is real and growing.
