I can’t bring myself to watch the Olympics this year. It’s not that I don’t love the Olympics — I do. I grew up in a household that valued hard work, athleticism, and sportsmanship. Our family has always enjoyed watching athletes reach beyond themselves to accomplish incredible feats of strength and teamwork together. However, this year, it’s just not worth it. From the raunchy and offensive Opening Ceremonies to the continual erasure of women in sports, I just can’t stomach it.

Many people are saying that it’s a shame that the athletes who have worked their entire lives to perfect their sport aren’t being watched. I agree, but it’s more of a shame so few of them used their God given talents and platform to speak out about the blatant and intentional attack on the Christian faith that millions of viewers (including children) were subjected to. It’s also a shame that so few athletes are standing up against the erasure of women in sports. Women are literally being forced to withdraw from their events in order to save their lives. The silence of those around them (and us) is deafening.

Closer to home, the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous Title IX changes began to take place yesterday. By regulation, because they couldn’t get Congress to agree with their radical gender theories, the current administration has changed a 50+ year law from encouraging women in sports to erasing women’s sports altogether.

The NCAA is poised to act and you can write them yourself to let them know your thoughts on the matter HERE. I’d suggest you write something to this effect, but please make it your own.

Members of the NCAA Board of Governors National Office:

Title IX is a federal law that was enacted over fifty years ago to prevent discrimination against girls and women in educational opportunities, including in school sports.  The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights recently ruled that a policy allowing boys to compete on girls’ teams violates Title IX. The Department’s reasoning was that when we allow boys on girls’ sports teams, we are denying girls and women the opportunity to compete fairly because boys and men have a biological advantage.

Female athletes deserve fair competition — that means the chance to compete in women’s divisions distinct from co-ed or men’s categories, and free from males competing in those female-only competitions. I would like to appeal to the NCAA repeal its discriminatory policies that allows male athletes to take trophies, roster spots, playing time, resources and opportunities to compete from women.

We urge you to comply with historical precedent and the laws of 21 states that have enacted policies protecting the integrity of women’s college sports. Specifically, we request that the governing body: repeal all policies and rules that allow male athletes to take roster spots on women’s teams and/or compete in women’s events, establish/enforce the right of female athletes to participate in women’s sports based on sex, and require your member institutions to provide single-sex locker rooms for female athletes.

Sincerely,

If you’re on social media, you can use X (https://x.com/NCAA), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/ncaa1906), or Instagram (ncaa) to let them know your thoughts.

Unfortunately, the Title IX regulatory changes don’t end when the whistle blows. Title IX governs things like school bathrooms, dorm rooms, homeless shelters, and even prisons. If Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have their way, there will be no protection of women’s spaces at all.

We won’t rest until our daughters are protected and their rightful places on the podium are restored.
