Whether motivated by a concern for public image or other various emasculating considerations, the mainstream pro-life movement has often shied away from endorsing the logical conclusion of its whole position: If the unborn are people, then killing them is murder, and thus those who kill them should receive legal repercussions.

Debunking Arguments Against Legal Personhood for the Unborn: Part 1
For all that Dobbs did for the fight for life, there's one issue that it conspicuously avoided—whether the unborn are in fact human persons. Dobbs repeatedly made reference to supposed "fetal life," but refused to claim that this fetal life was the life of a person and thus entitled to protection.

Do Firefighters Support Arson?
Though I am not a firefighter, I know that sometimes that they have to use destructive methods to save structures and lives. Sometimes in fighting wildfires, it is necessary to burn portions of land to create a buffer and keep a fire from spreading. Imagine if these protective measures were twisted to suggest that firefighters support arson and destruction of property.

Good News for Life in Chicago
Earlier today, the Chicago City Council heard a proposal to institute a "quiet zone" around a particular abortion facility in the city to muzzle pro-lifers reaching out to abortion-bound mothers. Thankfully, this controversial proposal was deferred.

It comes as no surprise to me that the so-called “progressive” mind embraces the idea of a woman’s choice to end a pregnancy. Nor does it surprise me that those of the libertarian mindset are willing to jump on the bandwagon for “choice" as well. It’s their “keep government out of our bedroom” mentality.

Recently, Maher was joined by Piers Morgan and Gillian Tett, a columnist for the Financial Times, to discuss the topic of abortion. In the clip, Morgan stated that Donald Trump’s recently articulated compromise on abortion is not that different from European countries.
