I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…”

The Old Testament’s King David recognized Jehovah as his creator, who carefully, stitch by stitch, created his inmost parts while in his mother’s womb. Anyone who has created something out of a ball of yarn knows it does not happen by accident – it is fashioned after a pattern created by a higher intelligence.

Every baby is patterned with his or her own distinct design – eye color, hair color, blood type, number of fingers and toes, and, yes, a pre-planned pattern that includes whether that child is male or female. The DNA cannot be changed. The eye color cannot be changed. Whether the infant has a uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries is determined by its Designer via the parents’ genes.

And all of those characteristics are placed into that young life with a purpose and place to ultimately serve the Creator and lead a fulfilling existence.

An obstacle to true fulfillment

But in this anti-God culture, powerful influencers and angry educators are now insisting the Designer made serious errors, such as placing eye color and uteruses in humans that should not have been there.  And, they say, those aspects of the design must be changed to reflect the created being’s views on what he or she should look like and how their bodies should be utilized.

How sad. How terribly heart-wrenching!

More and more, the culture is instilling in the hearts of so many the idea that God is mean, cruel, ignorant, and unengaged, or He would have created some women to be men, some men to be women.

It has become a status symbol to reject how the medical community labeled those humans on birth certificates as “male” or “female.” More and more innocent children and confused teenagers are following influencers’ leads to abandon their identities to others that seem to care.

Young men are pretending to be women, even though they do not have female body parts. They believe they “think” and “perceive” as women, and they covet the honored status of women.

All the while, they’re rejecting themselves, their Creator’s design, and sadly, the Creator Himself.

Will succumbing to peer pressure satisfy?

Those that are dealing with the peer pressure to reject their body’s design find it inconceivable to insatiably desire the opposite sex’s reproductive systems. What male would desire to have monthly menstrual cycles? What male would covet a woman’s womb that enlarges week by week as it houses new life? Why would a male want to go through difficult pregnancies and exhausting menopausal transitions if their bodies did not demand it to be?

Will pretending to be a woman make them a woman? Will a young man changing his body and appearance to be considered a female bring him ultimate fulfillment and satisfaction?

Is the reverse true for young women who desire to be men?

How will this trend resolve itself?

Sadly, this “trans” trend is just that – a fad. A horrific fad that will have in its wake terrible mental and physical harm to a substantial number of our population – middle-aged men and women who must deal with the results of this experiment. Their bodies damaged and their hearts injured as they find more and more each day that their Creator’s design was the perfect one for them – the very design that became reality at the Creator’s own hands for His purposes.

Believers will need to be ready to comfort and encourage those who come to the realization that they were led astray, they rejected God’s design for a time, but that their value has not diminished in the least.

To our Heavenly Father, their Creator, each of his creations is beloved.  That is how Christians should view the victims of this dark and deadly sexual identity phenomenon.

Lord, please show us as mothers and fathers, grandmothers and grandfathers, and sisters and brothers, how to respond to those who are dealing with sexual identity confusion. Help us not to affirm their rejection of Your design, but to lovingly reiterate how much You love them as they are – exactly as You planned. Bring them back to You and Your perfect plan for them.  Help us to be ready to comfort them as they return to You.  And please, please suffocate the Evil One’s influence in their hearts and minds so they may breathe You in, oh Thou, Breath of Life.
