Pregnancy Care Centers are on the front lines every day in the fight for life. Each day, these centers are faced with the reality of life and death.

However, unlike Planned Parenthood which receives funding from Medicaid, Title X grants, state and local funding, and private funding from donors, Pregnancy Care Centers are completely reliant upon prayer and donations from people like you.

This month, we want to highlight one particular Pregnancy Care Center that can use your support.

The Life Center (TLC) located in Elgin, Illinois has three tangible needs that you can help with.

Their stated mission is beautiful:

At TLC/Alliance, our primary mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with every single person who walks through our doors or steps onto our mobile unit. We don’t just want to see babies saved; we want to see families transformed for eternity through a relationship with Him.

TLC is not profit-focused.

They are Gospel-focused because only Christ can truly transform the hearts and lives of women who walk through their doors.

“And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” (Ez. 36:26)

TLC offers a wide-range of services:

  • Pregnancy testing,
  • Ultrasounds,
  • Abortion Pill Reversal (APR),
  • Mobile unit outreach,
  • Mother and father mentoring,
  • Baby supply distribution,
  • STI testing (coming soon), and
  • Prenatal care (coming soon).

While TLC strives to be a gospel-centered ministry to the Elgin community, they cannot operate without support.

TLC’s first need is prayer. When the Nurse Manger and staff were asked what their greatest need was, the resounding answer was “prayer.”

James teaches that the prayers of the righteous have great power (5:16) because the Lord hears the prayers of His people (Ps. 18:6).

Their second need is volunteers. Specifically, they are looking for volunteers to pray and accompany the mobile unit as it travels throughout communities near abortion clinics. These mobile units are essential and they mean the difference between life and death for many babies.

Finally, TLC is in need of financial donations to be able to employ more ultrasound-trained nurses which will enable the center to expand their operating hours and see a greater number of clients.

Prayerfully consider donating to The Life Center today.
