Although Riley earned a degree in health sciences with plans to become a dentist, God had a different calling on her life. Thrust into the national spotlight, she boldly stepped up to defend the integrity of women’s sports—and has since become one of the nation’s most courageous and influential voices advocating for female-only competition.
Riley is a 12-time All-American swimmer, 2-time Olympic Trial Qualifier, and 5-time SEC Champion. In 2022, her career took a dramatic turn when she was forced to share a locker room with Will “Lia” Thomas, a biological male who identifies as a female, and compete against him. Swimming competition is timed to the hundredth of a second, and therefore, she was shocked when she finished the race and looked at the screen to see that she had tied with a man in Women’s Swimming Competition!
