Help Us Overcome Evil With Good

Illinois Family Institute doesn’t have a professional “development” person on staff, nor do we send out fundraising letters every few weeks. Instead, the board of directors and staff are laser-focused on our mission to “boldly bring Biblical perspectives to public policy.”

More than ever, we need to be in the public square here in Illinois, fearlessly fighting the good fight, proclaiming truth, exposing wickedness, and lifting up the hope we have in Jesus and His Word.

And while it is true that we need financial resources to engage the culture, we know that God provides through His people and through prayer. From time to time, however, that requires us to ask our subscribers and supporters to fill up our fuel tank.

As we are headed into June, we hope you will consider giving to help us get through the summer months. Please prayerfully consider a one-time donation of $50 or $100. Maybe you would consider becoming a Sustaining Partner at $15 or $25 per month.

Every day, the IFI team is hard at work advocating for biblical principles and Christian ethics that support the families of the Land of Lincoln!

Whether we are testifying in Springfield, interviewing someone for social media, sending out action alerts and Prayer Team requests, or hosting special forums and sharing information about key bills in our Springfield Updates, our top priority is promoting a biblical worldview that helps Illinois families thrive.

By God’s grace, IFI’s platform and reach have grown significantly over the past decade. We are better positioned to make a significant difference but we also believe we can reach even further. And while others have retreated, we have expanded our mission and added new staff.

But since donations have been down over the past year or so, we hope you will contribute to the cause now.

We cannot let up. Various reports suggest that since the Dobbs decision came down from the U.S. Supreme Court, tens of thousands of pre-born babies have been saved from abortion across the nation. Some trusted sources are saying the number is actually in the hundreds of thousands of lives saved. Praise God!

Unfortunately, that’s not happening in Illinois.

Last year, Planned Parenthood of Illinois reported that their baby butchering business has increased by 54 percent, with 13 percent being late-term abortions. Illinois has quickly become a sanctuary state for the slaughter of the unborn. Many of us believe that Illinois will jump from 40k abortions a year to well over 100k, as abortion mills accommodate victims traveling from other states.

We have so much work to do!

And consider how far the Woke mob is going to defend gender reassignment “treatments” (mutilation) for children! It is heartbreaking and nauseating at the same time. But the more radical they become in word and deed, the more they expose themselves as irrational, worthy of contempt, and depraved. They simply don’t realize the wickedness they champion. We cannot waste this opportunity to highlight the contrast.

It is light versus dark, right versus wrong, good versus evil.

These deceptive philosophies are also being promoted in far too many of our government schools! It is bad enough that children are failing to meet basic proficiency standards in English language arts, math, and science. The overwhelming amount of school time is now focused on social engineering, humanistic training, Marxist ideology, sexual immorality, anti-American history, and other godless subject matter. It’s no wonder a rising number of students can’t read or do simple math.

To make matters worse, we are learning more and more about the prevalence of sexual exploitation and abuse of children in our government schools. As Thomas Hampson pointed out in his article earlier this year, “children in our schools are being sexually exploited by the thousands.”

Our opponents will continue to lie, scream, vandalize, obstruct, blaspheme God, demonize Christians, and openly violate the law. Are we ready to respond to them? Are we able to overcome evil with good? The answer is a resounding YES. We must be on the OFFENSE.

Our proactive calls to get our children/grandchildren into Christ-honoring homeschools, micro-schools, co-ops, or private Christian schools is resonating with many parents. We dare not stop now!

All of this is possible because of your faithful prayers and financial support. There is so much more I could tell you about what we are working on, but simply put, IFI depends on generous gifts from friends like you to accomplish our mission. We can’t do what we do without you!

If you think our work is worthy of support, please consider donating today. Alternatively, you can spread out your contributions by becoming a monthly Sustaining Partner.

The need for sound, biblical truth-telling has never been greater, especially now with the severe challenges our state and nation face.

For this reason, I’m asking for your help to support the ministry as we enter the months of June, July, August, and September.

IFI stands for the sanctity of human life and the restoration of faith, marriage, and family, and against the continuing indoctrination of students in a corrupt education system.

These are but a few of the battles we are fighting. I am proud of the work IFI has done over the years, and I am grateful to God and all of you for your support. I hope you will continue to partner with us. Your encouragement is welcomed and needed.

Together for biblical truth! I am,

Sincerely,

David E. Smith
Executive Director
