Like many, my first reaction to the assassination of Charlie Kirk was shock and sadness followed by compassion for his family and then grief, over how sick many in our society have become.

Charlie’s legacy and influence will only grow stronger for a couple reasons. First, because he stood for universal truths which will stand the test of time. The Left doesn’t have truth, only tactics, “rules for radicals,” many of which are taken from some of the darkest periods of mankind’s history.

The second reason is that what was harder to perceive is now strikingly obvious to millions more people who are thinking critically in their attempt to understand Charlie’s murder and the decaying culture around them.

The Left has been stealthily employing one of the most effective propaganda weapons of all time. It’s what experts on propaganda refer to as “accusation in a mirror.” Now that mirror has so many cracks that everyone can see something very evil is underway.

The technique involves accusing your opponents of what you yourself are doing. By projecting one’s own unacceptable motives or actions onto another, you deflect blame and reframe the aggressor as the defender.

In the Rwandan Genocide, the Hutus used it to exterminate ¾ of the Tutsi population, 800,000 of their fellow countrymen. Let that sink in. Media outlets spread propaganda saying that the Tutsis were planning to massacre the Hutus, seize power and enslave them. In reality, that’s exactly what the Hutus planned, and then carried out. The pre-emptive framing, brainwashed ordinary people into thinking their own violence was “self-defense.”

We see the Left, calling people like Charlie Kirk a Nazi. Nazism was a Socialist movement and Charlie pioneered the “Socialism Sucks” movement. The exact opposite. It’s text book “accusation in a mirror.”

In reality, using the propaganda tactics of the Left makes you more of a Nazi than standing against Socialism. Leftist politicians and the main stream media are constantly spreading lies, brainwashing the weak into thinking their hate and violence is actually justifiable. Isn’t that what we’re seeing on the news and on social media?

If only we educated our university students in this, instead of propagandizing them.  Imagine the violence we could prevent. That was in part, Charlie’s mission and it needs to be ours as well.

A hallmark of fascism is silencing your political enemies. Charlie wanted a conversation with them and handed them the microphone. Look at Antifa, recently declared a terrorist organization, and whose name implies they are against fascism. Can you see the “accusation in the mirror” technique now?

The good news is, people are wising up and Charlie’s messages are more powerful than ever. They can protect those who are susceptible to being deceived into fear, hatred and then violence. Which in turn, protects us all.

I’m glad to see that the people who hate God, America, Truth and freedom are being exposed and will continue to be but we need to remember that once the brainwashed see a counter argument, it becomes easier to see Truth and that’s why the Left feared Charlie so much.

Charlie could get people to think critically, some for the very first time. People need to ask, why does the Left hate Israel but seems to call everyone else a Nazi? A little critical thinking goes a long way and that’s why Charlie’s body of work and the organizations he built, will continue to impact lives and culture for the better.

Timeless truths never fail. People only need to open their eyes and hearts.

Here’s another item to think critically about: How the Left regularly cite the Southern Poverty Law Center, a completely discredited organization with a history of problems ranging from accusations of sexual harassment, gender/race-based discrimination and defamation.

Everything they accuse others of doing. They instigated at least one act of domestic terrorism with their so called “Hate Map,” which included Charlie’s Turning Point USA, and other respected organizations and individuals, including Ben Carson and PragerU.

This propaganda doesn’t just threaten conservatives, but all members of society. Professor of Psychology, Lt. Col. David Grossman, can show data that proves this out. He can show how the increase in the murder rate was caused by what he calls the “sick narrative” after Ferguson, Missouri, “that law enforcement is bad and criminals are good.” The result is more violence and death. Truth is a more potent weapon than violence and more enduring. We will win with the same weapons Charlie had: Truth which is the cure for lies, the Gospel, that changes hearts, and the armor of God, which equips you to live a life of purpose and courage, just as he did, so magnificently. In a verse,

“Overcome Evil with Good.”

In closing, I can say with absolute certainty, that Charlie is in Heaven. I’m certain his opponents are less likely to arrive there in their present condition because “by their fruits, we know them.” I recommend we all consider our worldviews and see if they are built on the Rock like Charlie’s or on sinking sand, because one day, our eternity too will be fixed and unchangeable.

Charlie was prepared. He wouldn’t want any of us not to be.

Not even those who made him their enemy, because he told them the Truth.
