Not All Private Schools Are Created Equal

Often, parents who want to keep their children out of public school (and for good reason) will automatically assume that private schools operate on a better moral playing field.

A recent report from author J.D. Busch, the Chicago Contrarian, reveals that it is not always the case that all private schools are created equal. In fact, private schools may be just as morally corrupt as the public ones.

In this report, Busch reveals that the NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) has for years been one of the top promoters of DEI in private education. The NAIS alerted the schools that utilize their DEI playbook (schools such as Latin, Parker, Shipley and others) that the IRS may be coming after them.

“The trade association that writes the DEI playbook… just told its members, in writing, that they are probably breaking the law, and that the schools, not NAIS, are the ones facing liability.”

Due to the fact that parents who send their children to schools like this write a check to a 501(c)(3) organization, the IRS has the authority under the U.S. Department of Education requirements to take away the schools’ tax-exempt status on the basis of utilizing DEI practices in the classroom.

“The proposed regulation (REG-119986-25) observes that a private school is not operated for charitable purposes if it ‘adopts, maintains, or enforces any policy or practice that discriminates on the basis of race, color, or national or ethnic origin’ in any educational policy, admissions policy, scholarship program, athletic program, ‘or other school-administered or school-supported program.’”

Rarely do we think woke policies thrive in private education, yet sadly, many private schools have adopted and maintained the very policies that parents are trying to avoid by taking their children out of public schools.

Parents, not only is it vital for you to be aware of the educational system as it relates to government schools, but even private schools must be seriously vetted.

As we have just entered the first semester of the 2026-2027 school year, make sure you are vigilant in what your kids are learning, what their teachers are saying, and what their homework is telling them to do.

As George Washington Carver said, “Education is the key that unlocks the golden door to freedom.”

Or, as we have seen in our culture recently, bad education can unlock the door to mass ideological destruction.
