hicago has found a convenient time to finally do something about a homeless encampment—one that city leadership has already allowed to exist for years. For several years, a narrow strip of land nestled next to the Dan Ryan Expressway and Roosevelt road has been home to a veritable "tent city," one which has boasted up to 20–30 residents at times. However, a couple months before the Democratic National Convention is set to commence in Chicago, the city decided to permanently shut down this settlement.

MrBeast (whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson) is a wildly popular YouTuber whose channel has over 300 million subscribers. He became famous for his goofy videos that involve lots of money and often a lot of work, such as “Protect the Lamborghini, Keep It,” and “I Survived 7 Days in an Abandoned City." His videos generally star him and a small group of his friends. MrBeast is incredibly popular among tweens and teens, especially boys.

Dr. Larry Poland was laid to rest in Wheaton, Illinois at the age of 83 in April of last year. He passed at his home in nearby Carol Stream having retired several years earlier. Larry had a remarkable Hollywood career. If you’ve never heard of him, I would not be surprised. 

In an article by Andrew Beck in his article American Aristocracy, I found an interesting statement about “Aristocracy” that goes back in time to pre-Christian Greece. I say “interesting” because although in America we do not use the words aristocracy or aristocrats much anymore, we still have elites in positions of power and influence. But are they aristocratic?
