At the IFI Faith, Family, & Freedom banquet two weeks ago, we introduced our attendees to Pastor Courtney Lewis of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood. Pastor Lewis received the Voice of Truth Award because he models the courage to teach, promote, and speak of God’s moral law in today’s culture.

Twenty years ago, Dr. James Dobson and Franklin Graham warned us then that the outright acceptance of sin would lead to tolerance for other types of abominations. Academics, politicians, and advocates of homosexuality all insisted that tolerance of the LGBTQ+ community would not lead to other non-traditional lifestyles. These advocates decried the "slippery slope" theory as a fallacy. Fast forward to 2021, and the truth of the descent of morality is becoming clear. The church has dealt with not only homosexuality but now is facing problems with the expanding sexual, gender, and species dysphoria of transexuals, "furries," "therians," and "otherkins."

The Republican National Committee announced its first ever “RNC Pride Coalition” over the weekend, partnering with the Log Cabin Republicans elected ideological kinds of Republicans—the kind that reject orthodox Judeo-Christian morality regarding sexuality. This despite the fact that this partnership violates the GOP Platform, which has long opposed LGBTQ activism.

In America today, when it comes to the question of Critical Race Theory (CRT), we are like ships – really, like battleships – passing each other in the night. One side shouts, “We’ve got to get CRT out of our schools! It is hurting our children!” The other side responds, “CRT is not being taught in our children’s schools! This is just a racist dog whistle!” Is there any way to bridge the divide?

Fall has arrived in Illinois. As the leaves change colors and the temperatures drop, communities look forward to fall celebrations. Many churches and communities will have fall festivals that are innocuous celebrations that include pumpkin patches and trunk-or-treats for the children. However, there is a much more insidious type of celebration that is infiltrating our communities. The acceptance of occultism is spreading at an alarming pace.

If we learned anything from the recent midterm elections—and we should have learned a lot—it should be that the “social issues” are not the third rail of politics. The claim that it is the third rail is a manipulative and self-fulfilling lie told ad nauseum by RINOs who are so foolish they don’t understand that the social issues are essential for the health of any society.

Socialism, one of history’s worst ideas, has been disproved repeatedly and without exception. Yet it keeps rearing its ugly head—constantly being rebranded as a good idea.Socialism only benefits the ruling class who implement this form of government theft.

In his November 1 op-ed for The Hill, Fox News Analyst Juan Williams claimed that the “parents’ rights’ mantra in the Virginia gubernatorial elections is simply “a code for white race politics.” To the contrary, this really is about parents’ rights and about what is best for all children. To inject charges of white supremacy and racism is to miss the whole point of why so many parents are so upset. In all candor and with due respect, I would have expected better from Mr. Williams.

Article II Section 1 of the Illinois Constitution provides that “[t]he legislative, executive and judicial branches are separate. No branch shall exercise powers properly belonging to another. Article VI Section 1 provides that “[t]he judicial power is vested in a Supreme Court, an Appellate Court and Circuit Courts.”With the passage of Senate Bill 1169 (SB 1169), Governor JB Pritzker and his cronies have attempted to usurp the exclusive power of the judicial branch of government.
