2025 End-of-Year Matching Challenge!

2025 End-of-Year Matching Challenge!
Written By David E. Smith   |   12.09.25

We are pleased to announce that in an effort to help us raise operating funds for 2026, a number of generous donors have offered to match donations to IFI up to $150,000! So, between now and the end of the year, you can double the impact of your giving!

Yes, you read that right! Every donation to IFI through the end of the year is DOUBLED upon receipt.

So if you give $50, it becomes $100.

If you give $100, it becomes $200.

If you give $500, it becomes $1,000!

If you donate $1,000, it is the same as giving $2,000, etc.

Despite the Left’s relentless assault on the natural family, the sanctity of life, and religious liberty, the Illinois Family Institute refuses to back down. Too much is at stake. We want our children and grandchildren to inherit the God-given freedoms most of us took for granted growing up — the freedom to live faithfully, boldly, and without government intrusion into conscience.

For years, some prominent conservatives — political operatives, radio personalities, and single-issue activists — have insisted that “fiscal issues” are what truly matter. But IFI has been the lone voice telling the truth: without faith and family, liberty cannot survive. Cultural decay always precedes political collapse.

For more than thirty years, IFI has stood as a bulwark against the Left’s aggressive efforts to advance oppressive, harmful legislation in Springfield and to turn public schools into engines of ideological indoctrination. Yes, we are consistently outspent and outmanned — but that has never stopped us.

Despite overwhelming odds, we’re pushing back—exposing, blocking, and derailing some of the most dangerous schemes unfolding in our state.

Will you stand with us in the cultural battle for Illinois? Your support strengthens the only organization in this state willing to expose deception, defend biblical truth, and equip Christians to navigate and challenge the culture through a steadfast Christian lens.

Consider these questions:

What would Illinois look like today if Christians didn’t push back with truth in the public square?

And what would our state look like if IFI weren’t here—alerting, equipping, and encouraging believers to stand firm and speak boldly?

How far would godless ideologies have already steamrolled their way into law, policy and culture?

Some things can’t be measured. But one thing is certain: without resistance, Illinois would be much further down a dark and destructive path.

The answers to these questions are sobering — and it’s why your partnership is essential.

Some say our work bears little visible fruit in Illinois. But appearances deceive. What cannot be measured is where our state would be without resistance. What would Illinois look like today if IFI had not pushed back against destructive ideologies in our schools, legislature, and culture? The answer is sobering — and it’s exactly why our mission must not waver.

And the need is only growing.

New research from Dr. George Barna underscores just how dramatically the cultural landscape has shifted — and why organizations like IFI must stand firm.

Barna’s newly released The State of Today’s Family report reveals how Americans’ views of marriage and family have changed:

“Today’s families are navigating delayed marriage, steady divorce rates, growing acceptance of cohabitation and renewed interest in remarriage,” the report notes. “Each of these patterns carries implications for how churches prepare couples for marriage, support those in crisis, and assist people rebuilding life after divorce.”

What Barna found should both inform and energize our work:

Fewer adults are married, but most still hope to be. Just 46% of U.S. adults are married today—down from two-thirds in 1950—yet most unmarried adults still aspire to marriage.
Divorce remains steady, and remarriage is common. One in six adults has been divorced, and over half of those have remarried, revealing both cultural instability and human resilience.
Gen Z still values marriage—81% want to marry someday—but many are rethinking what family and commitment mean in a confused and shifting culture.
