Illinois has the dubious distinction of being home to some of the most radical legislation in the entire country, and this year’s legislative session is no exception.

The state legislature is considering a wide variety of bills that can easily be classified as “anti-life.”

For example, HB 1328, also known as the “End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act,” makes it legal for a physician to administer lethal amounts of drugs to patients who desire to end their life.

No matter how much compassionate language they use to try and disguise it, this is physician-assisted suicide.

HB 2679 amends the Criminal Code to protect abortion clinics (“vital public facilities”) from “terrorist acts.” This bill, of course, excludes churches and crisis pregnancy centers from being classified as “vital public facilities.”

Unsurprisingly, the “terrorist acts” abortion clinics seek protection from include the prayers of Christians on behalf of the voiceless, preborn children in the womb.

To give you one more example, HB 3489 seeks to redefine the “practice of pharmacy.” This means that pharmacy work will include the assessment and consultation of patients for the purpose of giving “emergency contraception.”

“Emergency contraception,” of course, refers to the morning-after pill–a medication designed to quickly end a preborn life that has already been created “accidentally.” In other words, it’s an abortifacient.

These three bills alone should cause every Christian across Illinois to feel righteous indignation on behalf of the vulnerable who are being exploited and abused by this legislation–the aged, the disabled, and the preborn.

In response to these horrendous, anti-life bills, thousands of pro-life advocates are heading to Springfield on March 25th to protest at the Illinois Pro-Life March.

“While the Illinois Pro-Life March has known many names over the years, our mission has never changed: to honor the dignity of every human being regardless of race, sex, age, or ability by marching on behalf of the lives lost to Illinois’ culture of death.”

This year’s Illinois Pro-Life March is hosted by Illinois Right to Life and Illinois Right to Life Action, beginning with the rally that will take place at the Lincoln Statue located in front of the Illinois State Capitol.

At this rally, you will have the chance to hear from both Dr. Christina Francis of the American Academy of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Dr. Matthew Eppinette of the Center for Bioethics and Human Dignity at Trinity International University.

In their speeches, both will address the damaging, state-wide impact of the anti-life laws we mentioned above if they are passed.

On March 25th, march with us and be a voice for the voiceless.
