Isabella Varian is making headlines for being the first detransitioner to successfully win a lawsuit against her “gender-affirming care” doctors.
At the young age of 16, Isabella Varian underwent a double mastectomy – an irreversible surgery with life-long consequences and health issues.
Isabella’s “gender affirming” psychologist, Kenneth Einhorn and plastic surgeon, Dr. Simon Chin, had only met with Isabella and her mother, Claire Deacon, twice where they were able to convince them both that mutilating Isabella’s body and “transitioning” her “into a boy” was the medical and psychological decision that she should make.
Fast forward to the other side of this “gender-affirming” procedure, and Isabella is left with the broken pieces of her body for the rest of her life.
Now 22, Isabella is all too aware of the consequences of this procedure which led her to sue Kenneth Einhorn and Dr. Simon Chin for the surgery that left her “disfigured for life.”
Not only did Isabella Varian sue these respective “professionals,” she won. To the tune of $2 million dollars.
This lawsuit changes everything and already, the house of cards that is transgender “affirming care” is crumbling.
Just recently, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons issued a statement dissuading surgeons from operating on minors for the purpose of “gender-affirming care.”
For years, the conservative movement has been calling for accountability on the part of medical doctors, family practitioners, plastic surgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists and any other professional involved in the mutilation and sterilization of children.
And now– thanks to God’s grace– accountability is happening.
I am reminded of Ecclesiastes 8:11.
“Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
When wicked people are not held to account, there is no stopping their wickedness.
This lawsuit win is not just a win for Isabella Varian.
It is a win for every detransitioner who was pressured and deceived by the medical and mental health industry that convinced them to hate their body.
It is a win against the “untouchable” grip that Big Pharma has had on our culture and society.
And it is a win for Truth. Calling evil good and good evil is only temporary. Eventually Truth wins. Always.
The mere fact alone that medical and mental health professionals can possibly be sued years later for their “gender-affirming care” will no doubt cause many to think twice before participating in transgender delusions.
While the ability to sue and win is no doubt a massive victory for detransitioner justice, we as Christians still have much work to do in pointing our culture to faith and repentance before God.
