October 18th is the last day to register to vote online
for the upcoming November 3rd General Election.
God has blessed America with the gift of self-government — a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.” Voting is a privilege many throughout history have been denied, yet today, we treat it with shameful indifference.
This amazing blessing carries a tremendous responsibility. Scripture teaches that all authority is ordained by God; in the context of the American experiment, that authority has been delegated to: “We the People…”
As Christians, we have a duty and a moral obligation to be involved in the political process. Imagine the IMPACT we could have on our government, its leadership, our state and nation if we all simply registered to vote and voted according to biblical values.
According to a 2024 national survey by George Barna reports that only 6 in every 10 churchgoing Christians said they vote in every election, with many others voting only sporadically.
This is not good stewardship of God’s gift of self-government! By staying on the sidelines, we are shirking our duty to be salt and light. The consequences of our silence are visible everywhere: the normalization of abortion on demand, the systematic indoctrination of our children, the erosion of parental rights, and the proliferation of vice in our communities.
How can the “salt of the earth” be effective if we refuse to leave the shaker? James 4:17 defines this inaction not as a mere oversight, but as a moral failure:
So for one who knows the right thing to do and does not do it, for him it is sin.
Is it any surprise that Bible believing Christians are sparsely represented in Springfield and Washington, D.C.? If we aren’t faithful in the little things that God has given us to do — like voting or communicating with our elected representatives — we shouldn’t be surprised that we aren’t successful when it comes to the bigger things.
Registering Voters is Easy!
Did you know that you can register to vote online in Illinois? You can do so by visiting the State Board of Elections website. The last day to register to vote online is October 23rd.
Think of the young adults in your family or circle who will turn 18 by November 3rd. They are the future of this nation, and their first act of adulthood should be to take up the mantle of citizenship. We also need to reach those who have become disillusioned and checked out of the process.
We must be intentional, even in our own households. Don’t just ask if family members are planning to vote — encourage them to verify that they are registered and ready to defend biblical truth in the public square. If someone has moved or changed their name, confirm their registration status now. We are in a battle for the soul of this country, and we cannot afford to leave any potential vote on the table. Bring them into the fight; the future of our nation depends on our willingness to recruit and mobilize our own.

2. Mail your completed application(s) to your local election authority. Click HERE to look up the mailing address. If you are unsure of your election authority, please contact us. Call (708) 781-9328 during normal business hours, or email us anytime and we will be glad to help! Note that there are ten cities that are their own election authorities. All the others are county clerks.

A. Yes. Voter registration drives are not considered partisan political activity. Although certain limitations are imposed by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) tax code and campaign laws, churches and pastors are able to engage in nonpartisan activity, particularly voter registration and voter education.
