The anti-Israel demonstrations and riots taking place across the nation are shocking. Who would have thought that so many Americans would turn their backs on Israel? The open hostility being expressed – and the tactics being used – by many in these crowds is appalling.
One thing is for certain, this antisemitism didn’t develop overnight in our culture. The reality is that hatred for Jews and the nation of Israel has been subtly taught in our schools and fostered by the media for some time. Coupled with public, widely accepted demonstrations of animosity, it is now boiling over.
An ongoing ceasefire was broken by Hamas when it launched terror attacks on unsuspecting Israeli men, women, and children on the morning of October 7th. These cowardly attacks killed approximately 1,200 people, including, according to this article by the Times of Israel, “two infants, 12 other children under the age of 10, 36 civilians aged 10-19, and 25 elderly people over the age of 80, accounting for 75 of the 764 civilians.”
Hamas also took more than 240 Israelis hostage, and according to this Christian Science Monitor article, more than 100 hostages are still in the hands of these jihadists.
Where does this kind of hate and evil emanate from? We don’t have to guess, as the world has been here before. Many are unaware that back in 1941, Adolf Hitler and Arab leader Mohammed Amin al-Husaini entered into a verbal agreement to exterminate the Jewish population in Europe and the Middle East.
This led to the Wannsee Conference, where they would plan the Final Solution to the Jewish Question. As this and our present moment prove, this evil has deep roots in the Islamic world, but the “civilized” West has never been immune to its spread.

Solomon warned us: “There is nothing new under the sun.”
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls,
Prosperity within your palaces.”
For the sake of my brethren and companions,
I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
Because of the house of the Lord our God
I will seek your good.
