The Rockford Pride Fest publicly celebrates and flaunts homosexuality, cross-dressing, and dubious medical treatments designed to facilitate—rather than treat—gender confusion. And the Swedish American Health System is financially sponsoring it. This is the same health organization that gave staff privileges to the infamous abortionist, Richard Ragsdale, allowing him to maintain his abortion “clinic.” 

It’s tragic that a local organization like the Swedish American Health System chooses to support a controversial event that celebrates behavior many believe to be immoral.  And it’s incomprehensible that an organization dedicated to health care would approve of behavior that is profoundly unhealthy.  The stated mission of the Swedish American Health System is to “care for our community.”  Could anything be less caring than supporting an event that encourages unhealthy and dangerous behavior? 

It is one thing to support the work of HIV/AIDS research but to support an event that celebrates a lifestyle that is the number one source for HIV/AIDS infections (i.e. male-male sex) is absurd.  It makes no sense. 

The Swedish American Health System has proven they are the most liberal hospital system in Winnebago County by being on the wrong side of the culture war. 

Take ACTION:  Click HERE to contact the Swedish American Health System to let them know that their support of the Rockford Pride Fest will undermine its mission and damage its reputation.  Supporting destructive unhealthy behavior and divisive events contradicts the mission of a healthcare organization. 

Pray that the Swedish American Health System will change course.  It should care for its community by helping people attain better health.
