Last time, we explored a simple way to show someone that "pro-life except for rape and incest" is not really pro-life. Just ask him if the same circumstance that he thinks justifies abortion would also justify the killing of a two-year-old.

Last time, we discussed the reason why you cannot be "pro-life except for rape and incest." This is because, if you believe that circumstances of conception can be more significant than the innate value of the baby's life, then you really do not value the baby's life according to its true nature. Life is an inestimably valuable gift from God.

A Challenge to Pro-Life Voters
For many Christian conservatives, the number one voting issue is abortion. Under no circumstances will we vote for a “pro-choice” candidate, no matter how good that candidate’s other policies may be. Conversely, we will vote for a strong pro-life candidate even if that candidate does not line up with some of our other ideals. After all, we reason, what is more important than the shedding of innocent blood, especially the blood of babies in their mothers’ wombs?
