A Review of Seth Gruber’s Must-See Documentary: The 1916 Project

Last month, pro-life activist Seth Gruber released a documentary called The 1916 Project. Seth, who grew up in a pro-life home, was forever changed when he saw photos of mutilated aborted babies. He was only in high school at the time, but the images impacted him so much that he has dedicated his life to educating people on the harms of abortion and turning our culture of death into a culture of life.

What is True?

Our understanding of what we think is true constantly changes. At least, it does if we continue to learn. When I was in high school, for example, my science textbook unequivocally stated that the entire universe consisted of 16 galaxies.  Period.  Now, more than sixty years later, we do not know how many galaxies there are.

We’re Losing the Children

What are we doing to our children? Today, children are told—starting at 3 or 4 years old—that we don’t really know if they are a boy or a girl. The doctor just guessed based on their appearance when they were born. Over the next few years, they are told, it is up to the child to discover if they are a boy, a girl, non-binary, fluid, or something else altogether.

Where There’s a Will, There’s an Abortion

It's been a year and a half since the Dobbs decision put Roe v. Wade in the dustbin, but abortion is still alive and well in many parts of the U.S. When you are zealously committed to a false conception of rights—and that's being charitable about the motives of abortion providers—you will find any way possible to keep the industry going.

A Response to Planned Parenthood’s Tips to Talking about Abortion Over the Holidays

The Power of Prayer

As Christians, we have the amazing freedom of coming before the throne of the Almighty, Holy, Omnipresent, All-Powerful Creator of the universe to petition Him in prayer – without being destroyed – because of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. It’s an incredible privilege, and what’s more, we’re told in James 5:16b that “the prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.” Prayer is powerful because we are talking to a powerful God. As we wrestle against “the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12), prayer is one of the strongest weapons we have.

Abortion Disempowers Women

Accessible abortion gives women power, or so they say. As they put it, a baby on the way potentially jeopardizes a woman's professional career or even her social life. In short, if women aren't able to decide when to—excuse the euphemism—"terminate their pregnancies," then they are necessarily reduced to second-class citizens who cannot control their future.

Stepping Up for The Pro-Life Cause

Sometimes you hear of an event, experience a situation, or even meet a person who really convicts you about something, and then you feel you have to tell others about it even though you haven’t mastered it yourself yet. That is just what happened to me in the recent past, so I'm writing this article to myself as much as to you.

Abortion and States’ Rights

On May 2, the town of Danville, Illinois became what some have called a "sanctuary city for the unborn." After Planned Parenthood staff announced plans to open an abortion clinic in the town, the city council reacted by narrowly passing an ordinance (8-7), citing a section of federal law that forbids the mailing of abortion paraphernalia.
