The pro-life movement is rightly focused on preventing abortions. Sometimes this leads us to gloss over root causes. But – what is the driving factor behind a lot of abortions? And is there something we can do to address it? Enter Scott Phelps, the Executive Director of A&M Partnerships. His approach to the pro-life battle is entirely different, borne from a desire to do something to “save the babies,” plus a series of curious events (which in my humble opinion, could be taken as the Lord’s direction).

In a world where bad news in reporting is the norm, a single piece of good news can feel like a rainstorm in the desert. I recently came across an encouraging piece of news in the form of a YouTube channel called Dude Perfect, and it’s good timing for parents with the disappointing news about Mr. Beast.

Our culture deals with the pervasive sin of sexual immorality to the point where many people just view sex outside of marriage (in every way possible) as “normal.” It’s a serious problem, and the root of a lot of the current cultural chaos. At Illinois Family Institute’s 2023 Worldview Conference, Dr. John Diggs spoke on “The Consequences of Sexual Immorality.”

Sometimes our pro-life arguments can become overcomplicated by statistics, rabbit-trails, and long rebuttals to straw-man arguments from the other side. We want to defend the pro-life position with everything we can muster, but sometimes it seems like we must have an answer to every argument from a pro-abortionist to properly defend life.

Parenting is tough. Aside from having to keep little people (often with sizeable attitudes) alive, parents are also entrusted with the responsibility of training their child in the way he (or she) should go - so that they love the Lord and live it out. That last one is difficult and can easily fall by the wayside. So whether you’re a new parent who’s struggling, or a confident experienced parent, this sermon by Dr. Rob Reinow from Visionary Family Ministries is a must-see.

Nothing opens your mind to new worlds and new possibilities better than a book. Stories can communicate ideas, themes, and lessons considerably better than a lecture does. Children love to act out the stories of their favorite characters, adopting their mannerisms and wishing to be them. You probably can think of a book that has impacted you deeply and maybe even encouraged you to change your behavior in some manner.

We have another must-watch video recommendation, this one released by Canon Press on YouTube. Pastor Douglas Wilson reacts and responds to a video in which the 2017 Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, lists “8 reasons to stand up to abortion bans.” Wilson easily responds to each of her arguments, thereby showing how pro-abortion arguments can easily be countered by common sense.

It’s incredibly awkward when you’re in an important worldview conversation with a friend, and you don’t know what to say. You can’t figure out the right facts or convincing words to combat their argument, and worse, the conversation ends with you questioning your own beliefs.

If you’ve never heard of Jimmy Donaldson, more commonly known by the moniker Mr. Beast, ask your child who he is. He (or she) likely knows. Mr. Beast is a highly popular YouTuber with multiple channels dedicated to various things, such as friendly competitions, gaming, and philanthropy... Chris Tyson is a member of Mr. Beast’s cast of friends. Over the past couple of months, viewers noticed that Tyson has started to look and act differently in videos. The reason why became clear when Tyson revealed on Twitter that he has been going through hormone treatments to try and ‘transition’ into a girl. What makes this even sadder is that Tyson has a wife and son, who now must deal with the inevitable fallout of Tyson’s decision.

Ryan Bomberger, cofounder of The Radiance Foundation calls out the lies about abortion and "race" as he celebrates the beauty of adoption. Ryan is one of those "exceptions" cases that defines the injustice of abortion, yet he was adopted and loved. Life is a precious, precious gift. Whether planned or unplanned, every human life has purpose.

Last December, we published an article about how American Girl went woke, pushing gender ideology and the LGBTQ agenda through their dolls and books. Sadly, American Girl isn’t the only generationally beloved toy company to have embraced the way of the world. The latest toy company to have gone full woke is Lego, and as in the case of American Girl, this isn’t a sudden switch.

Education is not neutral. Math, science, history, reading and writing – each subject is shaped by the lens through which the teacher views the world. Education is not neutral. It’s forming the minds of the next generation, instilling in them the framework through which they’ll see and operate in life. Education, in other words, is discipleship.

For generations now alarm bells have been violently ringing about overpopulation. For decades people have been predicting a population boom that would result in famine, chaos, and war, with too many people vying for too few resources. But as generation after generation has marched on with no sign of any of this, people started to wonder. What if the bells were alarming us of the wrong thing? What if the problem isn’t too many people… but too few?

Week 6 of the Village Church of Barrington’s Parenting in a Godless Culture: Educating Parents and Grandparents Seminar is focused on Homeschooling. Jennifer Burns, the founder of Classical Consortium Academy and H.E.A.R.T., took to the the lectern to speak to parents and grandparents about home educating. She spoke specifically about what homeschooling is, the benefits and drawbacks, and the different types of home education and philosophies behind them, while emphasizing classical education.

Public school, homeschool, or Christian private school? These are the options Christian parents have before them when deciding where their kids are going to spend the majority of their time growing up. Who is going to be their main influence? What worldview will they be taught? A godless, Marxist, racially divided and highly sexualized worldview or a Biblical worldview that teaches love for God and neighbor, good character and a strong work ethic?
