Not Voting Promises Illinois Will Get Worse

The Institute for Family Studies recently reported that more and more young families are leaving blue states (like Illinois) in favor of red states due to growth opportunities and affordable living.

“Compared to their 2019 population levels, the 20 states that voted for former vice-President Kamala Harris in 2024 saw a decline in people in their 20s and kids under 10, as well as a dip among 50 to 59-year-olds.

In blue states, however, the total number of kids has dropped over the past five years, heavily concentrated among parents of young children. The total number of children under age 5 in the 20 Harris-voting states fell from 8.2 million to 7.6 million from 2019 to 2024, while the overall number of school-age children remained fairly constant at just over 22 million.”

No matter how much Governor Pritzker tries to gaslight Illinoisans into thinking that a mass exodus out of Illinois is not happening, numbers don’t lie.

Rather than Illinois’ proposed “population gain” being due to young families that would sustain our state’s economy, that “gain” is made up of economically unstable and dependent illegal immigrants.

The truth is that young families are fleeing blue states and it should be no surprise…

Without young families, Illinois’ population and economy will become increasingly unstable as our communities become more and more burdened by the high cost of living and an aging population with no replacement.

You have the chance to change the negative trajectory our state is on.

On March 17, Illinois is holding a primary election. Though primary elections are too often viewed as insignificant and voter turnout is even less than the general election, they are incredibly important. A primary election narrows the field of candidates and determines who will represent a political party in the general election for that particular race.

To give a candidate a fighting chance, they must survive the primary. And they can’t survive without your vote.

So much is at stake!

Never before has Illinois experienced the level of immorality in our schools, the burden of increasing high taxes, or the culture of death and destruction that permeates our communities through abortion and assisted suicide.

More and more laws every year are passed that impact what your child is taught in public school.

  • There are tampons in boys’ bathrooms in public schools to accommodate gender-confused children, while confusing the rest of the children.
  • Eight graders must show proficiency in LGBTQ history to receive a diploma.
  • Grooming them for early sexual activity begins with sex ed taught in kindergarten.
  • And they are taught that they can be either a girl or a boy and when they grow up, marry a man or a woman.

This can and must be stopped by voting the right people into office!

These same lawmakers that decided comprehensive sex ed should be taught to 6-yr-olds also made Illinois a sanctuary state and gave us the SAFE-T Act which eliminated cash bail and put more criminals back on the streets – here legally and illegally.

What kind of environment are we leaving for our children?

If our children are to grow up in a better Illinois– in safer communities– it is up to us, Christian voters, to turn the tide.

In Jeremiah 29:7, God commands His people Israel,

“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”

God was exiling His people to the evil nation of Babylon, a kingdom known for its pagan practices. Yet God still expected His people to glorify Him through their conduct.

Instead of sitting on their hands and waiting for their return to their homeland, God expected them to participate in the economic and political welfare of Babylon.

Why? Because “in its welfare you will find your welfare.”

Similarly, we Christians in Illinois face an uphill battle. Between fighting for the sanctity of life, privacy in our children’s locker rooms, and proper curriculum, it often feels increasingly overwhelming to swim upstream in a state that is moving further away from the Lord.

Nevertheless, God’s call to us is similar to that of Judah in Jeremiah 29. Keep going.

Believer, on March 17, seek the welfare of your township.

Seek the welfare of your city.

Seek the welfare of your state.

When you vote on March 17, not only will you be obeying God’s call on your life as a free America citizen, but you will also be fighting for your children and future generations to come.

And listen to God’s instructions in Exodus 18:21:

“But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.”

GO VOTE!
