By David E. Smith   |   11.05.25
In this second session on Islam, Pastor Paul Blair emphasizes why Christians must better understand Islam — not only as a theology but as a long-term geopolitical movement.

By David E. Smith   |   10.27.25
As lawmakers return to Springfield, critical issues hang in the balance. From efforts to expand sanctuary policies to the growing corruption of legalized gambling, and the heartbreaking loss faced by Darren and Cindy Bailey, your prayers are needed now more than ever.
Assisted Suicide and False Death Certificates
By David E. Smith   |   10.23.25
Some Illinois lawmakers are trying to push through a deceptive “End-of-Life Options” bill that would legalize physician-assisted suicide and allow falsified death certificates—erasing the truth about cause of death. Though SB 1950 has stalled for now, it could resurface during the Veto Session.
SCOTUS: Five Cases to Watch
By David E. Smith   |   10.17.25
The SCOTUS is considering several pivotal cases impacting the sanctity of life, the freedom to live out our faith, and the God-given rights of parents. Let us pray that the Justices will seek wisdom from Almighty God and have the courage to uphold the original intent of the U.S. Constitution.
IFI Statement on the “Equality for Every Family Act”
By David E. Smith   |   10.15.25
Illinois lawmakers have chosen ideology over integrity. By embracing Gov. Pritzker’s so-called Equality for Every Family Act, they’ve redefined parenthood, erased motherhood and fatherhood, and treated children as commodities in a social experiment that defies both nature and God’s design.
SCOTUS Hears Arguments on Christian Counseling Ban
By David E. Smith   |   10.13.25
Pray for the U.S. Supreme Court as it considers Chiles v. Salazar—a case that could decide whether Christian counselors are free to share biblical truth or forced to affirm government-approved lies.
Religious Conviction vs. Illinois State Mandate
By David E. Smith   |   10.10.25
Illinois is forcing faith-based employers to pay for abortion through their health insurance plans. When government compels Christians to underwrite the destruction of innocent life, religious liberty itself is under assault.
Prayer Bulletin for October 2025
By David E. Smith   |   10.07.25
A nation cannot endure without secure borders, a shared language, and common values. When immigration is lawful and orderly, it strengthens America by allowing newcomers to integrate into our culture. But violent riots, obstruction, and collaboration with radical agitators are designed to weaken our republic and sow chaos.
Banned Books Week Is a Sham
By David E. Smith   |   10.05.25
Don’t be fooled: Banned Books Week isn’t about free speech—it’s about pushing an agenda. Behind the slogans of “intellectual freedom,” activists highlight sexually explicit and progressive titles while sidelining books that uphold faith, family, and traditional values. It’s time for parents and communities to push back, ask hard questions, and make sure the books that matter don’t get silenced.
Celebrate Constitution Day!
By David E. Smith   |   09.17.25
Today is Constitution Day, marking 238 years since the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Some seek to replace liberty and limited government with failed schemes of coercion and control. We cannot squander God’s amazing gift of self-government.
Prayer Bulletin for September 2025
By David E. Smith   |   09.12.25
Assassinations. Murders in our streets. From Charlie Kirk’s killing to 310+ homicides in Chicago this year—America is reaping what it has sown. But chaos is only the symptom. The deeper problem is spiritual. Christians, it’s time to see with biblical eyes and fall to our knees in prayer for mercy and revival.

He and his wife of 30 years are blessed to be the parents of eight children, whom they homeschool. They strongly believe that their first duty before God is to disciple their children in the Christian faith, and impress a love of God on their hearts. There is a plethora of research that suggest that parents are the primary influencers in a child’s life. In an ideal world, that’s a mom and dad. Discipleship includes not only studying God’s Word but living a life of faith and walking in obedience to God. Discipleship is also necessary for sound doctrine, love of God and others. We do this in hopes of raising healthy and productive members of society who live to honor God and love their neighbors.

Dave has also served as a precinct committeeman and served as an ordained minister/elder in his local church.
