By Laurie Higgins   |   01.07.12
With all due respect to Cardinal Francis George, I think his apology is misguided and his reasoning troubling: During a recent TV interview, speaking about this year’s Gay Pride Parade, I used an analogy that is inflammatory. I am personally...
More on the Recent “Gay Pride” Parade Controversy
By Laurie Higgins   |   01.05.12
I’m reluctant to beat a dead horse, but in light of a comment made by the pastor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and an editorial in the liberal National Catholic Reporter (NCR), a bit more needs to be...

By Laurie Higgins   |   10.20.11
I don’t know why the question of whether Christians should attend the “same-sex marriage” ceremonies of family members, friends, or colleagues is such a stumper for Christians. Although the decision not to attend may be fraught with uncomfortable social implications,...

By Laurie Higgins   |   10.14.11
