By Laurie Higgins   |   05.14.13
Please watch this compelling “must-see” video in which young British theologian Andrew Wilson winsomely but persistently challenges the grounding for Rob Bell’s theological heterodoxy on homosexuality, exposing that Rob Bell has no grounding in Scripture. Bell grounds his abandonment of...

By Laurie Higgins   |   05.13.13
Chicago Tribune columnist and self-presumptive GOP consultant  Eric Zorn offered to “straighten out state GOP’s gay mess.”  In a nutshell, his nutty recommendation is for the Illinois Republican Party to “appoint someone who supports the legalization of same-sex marriage” to...
Liberal Lawmaker Scrambles to Find Evidence for Comprehensive Sex Ed Bill But Fails
By Laurie Higgins   |   05.09.13
As noted in my last article on the comprehensive sex ed bill (HB 2675), no lawmakers in the Illinois House who supported the bill, including the sponsors, provided any research-based evidence during floor debates proving the superior effectiveness of comprehensive sex ed. In response to an inquiry from an Illinois citizen, State Representative Robyn Gabel (D-Evanston) provided two articles and one study in defense of her support for this troubling and unnecessary bill...

By Laurie Higgins   |   05.07.13
During the floor debate in the Illinois House of Representatives, supporters of the “comprehensive sex ed” bill (HB 2675), continually stated falsely that this bill mandates nothing. In fact it mandates the use of comprehensive sex ed curricula in any...

Fatuous Floor Debate in Springfield on Comprehensive Sex Ed Bill
By Laurie Higgins   |   04.24.13
All Illinoisans should be troubled that our lawmakers vote for bills without demanding any evidence proving that the bills will solve the problems that the bills’ sponsors cite as the reasons the bills are needed. Case in point: last week’s...

By Laurie Higgins   |   04.13.13
The foolish and false rationalizations State Representative Ed Sullivan (R-Mundelein) is providing to his constituents for his betrayal — I mean “evolution” — on marriage bear closer examination. Here are the relevant portions of his letter: After personal reflection and...
Warning: Comprehensive Sex Ed Returning to Springfield
By Laurie Higgins   |   04.09.13
Our relentless “progressive” lawmakers hell-bent on the early sexualization of children and the exploitation of public schools to normalize homosexuality have re-introduced the comprehensive sex ed bill (HB 2675), which if passed will foist on all schools the kind of...

By Laurie Higgins   |   04.02.13
In addition to cowardice, one of the reasons that conservatives fail to oppose the myriad ways “progressives” exploit public schools to transform other people’s children into their social and political image is that we dismiss each new effort of theirs...

By Laurie Higgins   |   03.26.13
The mainstream media, including it seems virtually every political pundit on the Left and the Right, are dancing a jig over the “inevitability” of the widespread cultural embrace of a queer (pun intended) revision of marriage. These pundits, who jigged...
